I can't really get too excited, to be honest. I'll be up for it come the time, of course, but there's better fights than this coming up.

I'm the same. I don't have any butterflies at all for this fight like I did for Hopkins. The ironic thing is that the fight will probably be alot better than the Hopkins one. I think Jones will be alot more active than people think.

i might be looking into this too much but from the press confrence theres something about joe that doesnt seem right but i'm still going with him winning an early stoppage.
btw joes wife looks like carmen electra if she shut her dirty little mouth she'd be an alrite bird

I'm pretty looking forward to it, even though it is a farce of a fight - I'm not that exited though.

you dont have to be famous to be a "celebrity" these days such is the cheap standards.

X Factor audition rejects are considered celebritys in todays world

I remeber Roy back in 1997 - saying he wanted to secure a rematch with Montell Griffin for revenge.

Then he wanted to take a big payday outside of America maybe - just to secure his finicial future a bit more

the he would be "through with boxing"

Roy was giving the impression he didnt really love boxing and that he had better things to do with is life

It just goes to show Roy was kidding himself - old habits die hard - boxing is so deeply ingrained in his being that he has found he dosent really want to give it up at all

he says hes found a new love for the sport, like god has given him new hope.. and hes found a balance in himself from after loosing all that muscle and ****ing his body up..

i wont be suprised if he wins, just coz calzaghes not that much of a dangerous fighter, hes just got a high punch output.. he couldnt stop bika, couldnt stop manfredo, couldnt stop lacy who he was hitting cleanly at will.. hows he gonna stop roy jones jr..

calzaghe looks well skinny compared to jones, jones has fluffed out and calzaghes become drained..

I would agree with you..........................If this was 5 years ago

The only reason I cant see Roy Jones winning is because he has now become a "old" man in boxing terms.

He is more talented than Joe - he is better all around than Joe

But I just dont think his body can do it to the level needed to beat Joe

The Felix Trinidad fight was a easy fight for Roy because he found it easy to dominate a smaller guy - so he looked ok there

But Joe is bigger and stronger and will be putting pressure on Roy much more

Joe is on the downward slide himself

But Roy Jones has been on the downward slide for the last 4 years

I just think Joe has that bit more in the tank than Roy does

I think Roy will take the early rounds with his speed and skills

    But he will tire

And Calzaghe will wear him down and grind out a late stoppage or points decsion

I re-watched the Trinidad fight this morning and have to say that despite my blind love for Roy Jones his legs have completely gone and I feel he is in real danger of being humiliated by Calzaghe......I pray to God that he isn't.
