What is a joke is you yank can`t accept that a Brit came to America and in back to back fights beat 2 boxing legends. All you have left is to insist that not only would Calzaghe lost to both of them "in their prime" but would have been "killed" I feel sorry for you if you`re really that insecure. :-(

Calzaghe is not british. I figured that a limey fool like yourself knew that already....Sounds like you're living in denial. Either that or you can't tell the difference between a prime fighter and one thats over the age of 39....Get a ****ing clue already:good

You didn't stick a flag in him and claim him for America while he was out there, did you?

Yes, Jones was a boxer who relied upon tremedous athleticism. But not singularly. His technical skills were good enough combined with his supreme athleticism to box circles around prime fighters and defeat them.

Yes, Jones did not possess his former athleticism in his fight with Calzaghe.

Trying to compare what Jones was with what he showed against Calzaghe and drawing conclusions that Calzaghe would defeat him prime for prime is untenable.

It would have been a good fight but nothing like the one that took place a few weeks ago. Jones would have had the edge.

Calzaghe isn`t British?? Please enlighten the board to his nationality then.

I was always under the impression that Hammersmith in London was part of Britain.

Being Welsh and being British are not mutually exclusive.

Wales is part of Britain. Like Texas is part of the USA.

One can consider oneself a Texan and still be American.

    Hope that helps a little.

Lol, please enlighten us as to how this 'Welsh citizenship' is gained. I've lived in Wales for several years and have no knowledge of this 'Welsh citizenship' of which you speak.

Unfortunately, Texas is not a seperate country from the US. Wales despite being part of the UK is indeed a seperate country with its own identity.

Not British? where is Wales Mr Knowledge? last time I checked a globe it was in Britain.

I have been to watch both Roy Jones (vs Virgil Hill) and Joe Calzaghe (vs Kessler) and I tell you that no-one and I mean no-one has the relentless offense and just such bizarre style and angles that Calzaghe has. the most telling thing about the whole fight a couple of weeks backs was Jones saying afterward that "I just couldnt figure him out" Doesnt matter how much in our out of your prime you are it cant change your ability to read fighters, if he couldnt work joe out now he never would have. I am telling you now that Prime for Prime this would always be a toss up,

Oh do enlighten me. I mean I only live in Wales, so obviously I wouldn't know.

Wales is indeed a seperate entity from England. But you were talking about Calzaghe being 'British' not being 'English'. You do know there's a difference, don't you?
