    maybe it was but it was what it was.an easy 5m for both depite who won.both declining in speed and skills and power.doesnt make kellerman anymore of a **** for thinking jones was leading up to half way,lets be straight joe was i complete control after the first round.so kellerman was full of **** as usual thinking the home fighter was in charge.

    It was a meaningless fight and by definition it doesnt matter who was leading up to halfway because, you guessed it, it was meaningless

    I won't even watch the video, but one thing I will always remember is Kellerman suddenly saying " Thus far Jones is making Calzaghe look like a washed up Felix Trinidad"

    I remember the looks of utter confusion in the room once those words were utterd

    also my grandfather saying "What ****ing fight is he watching?"

    exactly!washed up felix trinidad haha.i thought is he watching the same fight?aside the knockdown joe schooled him for 11 and half rounds .iv no idea what max was watching but i hope it hed been on narcotics otherwise he should have never commentated again.

    as i put at the stard of the thread it was a payday for both guys.a farewell bbig money fight for joe and as for roy.....well yeah he should have done the same while he still had a decent record and integrity but never mind.

    would have been a great fight though.amazing speed great power(before joes hand was ****ed and he was one handed for the last five years of his career)prime v prime(no roids)calzaghe outworks him 118-112

    I really dont get the calzaghe hate.he was a humble guy who was world champion for over ten years.argubly the best british boxer eva.46-0.yes he did a bit of ducking but eveyone who retires undefeated will do.flloyd mayweather perfect example.he fought who was put infront of him,beat the great american hype lacy,kesser(undefeated prime kesser not the worn down version carl froch lost to)eubank,robin reid(world class at the time)mitchell,brewer,hopkins(who is still dominating guys 20+ years younger now).ps and drew 50,000 fans to his "home"fights,why the **** would he go fight infront of 3,000 in america?

    Calzaghe gets hate because he was a cherry picking twat that wasted most of his career fighting undeserving opponents, he was so worried about his precious 0 he fought Tocker Pudwill.

    Schooled? He didn't really school anyone.

    He just slapped (literally) the **** out of an old man, who shouldn't have been in the ring with him.

    World champion for ten years and only fought about ten decent fighters in his whole career.

    As you say, he ducked people.

    And stayed at home all the time - he only did 50k once, and that was because it was a mega fight, he wasn't in the Hatton league of being able to pack the MEN out against a turd like Stephen Smith.

    He didn't put it all on the line throughout his career.

    Similar to Jones really.
