Say no other good matches could be made and this was made for December 2008, who would you go with if the match was in neutral territory?

Personally, I'd go with Kessler, by close decision. He will have learned a lot from the first match and would adjust to a superior gameplan IMO and Calzaghe would be even further declined by the end of the year, being that Kessler is the 2nd best fighter around the weight and possibly the best depending on how he recovers from the loss and moves on, I don't think this would even be a big deal.

Do you think Mikkel could get Joe in a rematch on neutral territory?

Legit question, not messing around here with games or other.:good

Calzaghe wins again. He's a class above Kessler, frankly - one of the better fighters of this generation who really doesn't get the credit he deserves.

What sort of amazing bull**** is this? Are you just bored? Read through your post again and consider that if you need to make the final statement you made, this is the same as an admission of "game playng."

Based on the fact that the two fought very recently and Joe won easily, there is NO reason to think Kessler would win as soon as Dec. 2008. Best you could do is say he could "maybe" win - but that's so obvious that it goes without saying anyway. This post of yours is just a response to all the people saying Kessler was a nobody and thereby downgrading Joe's (your hero) accomplishment. Don't think we don't all notice this.

Kessler had his shot, and he came out short. I was vastly disappointed with alot of aspects in Kesslers:

    Gameplans(backups when the anti-swarming didn't work(because JC wasn't swarming)
    Stamina
    Precision
    Smartness

Kessler did the same mistakes as Lacy, and I thought he was smarter than that.

Mad props to Calzaghe for designing a gameplan that revolved around negating Kesslers style, more than utilizing his own strengths. And he would do it again, unless he starts using a walker.

Had the fight been close, Kessler would have deserved a shot - as it is - Calzaghe should get his other money fights.

If Kessler beats Taylor, Dawson or/and Pavlik - it would be possible once again. But I fail to see Kessler winning this unless he calls me and tells me he actually fought the worst match of his life.

Calzaghe wins everytime vs. Kessler. I thought it was pretty obvious the first time. Its a question of style, Kessler can't control the pace because of the way he engages, in and out, without any control of space.

Kessler will still beat anyone else around SMW.

Well, Kessler's experience against Calzaghe could have them formulate a better gameplan.

If he had been able to up the pressure and work the body more during Calzaghe's outboxing rounds, he'd have faired much better and could have set up more work.

I'm not trying to start anything here, trying to legitimise anything. I'm just discussing a rematch, I think it's the only 50/50 fight if either late 2008 or early 2009 for Joe if the gameplan for Kessler is correct, he has the tools to win more than anybody else.

Do we have any proof that JC is in decline?

Which he makes up for by being smarter than 6 years ago. And he is still pretty fast.
