It was at least 116-112, and a strong case for Calzaghe 117.

Rounds 4 and 12 are undesputable for Kessler

    Rounds 5, 6, 7, 8, 9, 10, 11 are undesputable for Calzaghe

The others were close-ish but Calzaghe definately won far more rounds clearly.

I think Faetter was saying if Kessler had won two more ROUNDS (not points) than he'd have had a draw and kept the belt, as the 116-112 score would swing to a 114 draw.

Still, turning a losing round into a winning round you first have to stop losing that round, and to start winning it...it's not as easy as that...anyway...why are we still talking about this stuff? Happened last year and we've talked about everything there was to talk about then :huh

    Damn straight.

I think it's because the Hopkins fans are not nearly as crazy as the Danish fans were in the run up to both fights!

two rounds - not two points - move two rounds to Kessler (some where actually pretty close - not close enough to be controversial - but close enough that 5-8 punches more from Kessler would have turned them) - two rounds for Kessler and it would have been 114-114

The Danish fans were much more reasonable than the Yanks are...:huh...and quite rightly so too!

Well, let's pass time talking about the present or the future; we've analysed this properly in the past...there's nothing else to say or learn.

Quite a few fights to think about involving Kessler and Calzaghe: Miranda/Hopkins...there's Larsen too, for Bute, possibly?:D

Well the thing is that if Calzaghe beats Hopkins (which I espect him to) - who should he face then? - which fight will come close to Kessler and Hopkins in terms of reputation and cash?

Kessler could fast become the next relevant fight for Calzaghe ... or retirement.

As I see it there is:

    Woods - the english angle
RJJ - the fight that should have been years ago
Pavlik - if he moves up

And that is pretty much it...

Hey am I the only one who saw this as a very close competetive fight? This was no blowout like some people paint it out to be... I mean I agree with everything Bigbone stated and think that Calzaghe will win a rematch. It was a closer fight than most people state.

    Edit: Hehe I obviously wasn't.

Another reason the rematch wont happen is HBO wont let it happen it was their all tim record low amount of buys so if JC wants to be on HBO it wont be against Kessler he does it.

Calzaghe threw crisp jabs and punches the whole fight. Look at Kesslers eye and the body shot that hurt him BAD.

Joe's a good puncher and if it weren't for his hands he'd be a BIG puncher

Yeah, it was a close, competitive fight, but Calzaghe outclassed Kessler.:good
