That's entirely possible. I've always thought KP would get to Joe eventually. If he doesn't, Joe wins a UD. People who act like slappy would run right over Pavlik know ****-all. Joe always made way to many mistakes to keep Pavlik off of him all the time and all night long. It woud not be an easy fight for the cardiff ice rink champion.

Great post Brad. Now no matter whats ones thoughts on a Pavlik vs Calzaghe match up, you have to admit B-Rad made a lot of good points in this post.

repeat of hopkins/pavlik, i dont even like calslappy but lets be realistic people, pavlik will lose if he ever fought a slick boxer.

 

I always said this fight wouldn't happen . thing is Joe is not a fighter that ages well. and it was proven in his last few .

 

Are you among the people saying he will lose to Martinez then? Don't be shy. Lots of people are predicting Martinez beats Kelly worse than Bhop.

 

Martinez was broken down by sheer pressure against Margarito and fought a close fight against a sloppy defensive fighter in Paul Williams. Do not get mistaken, he's a very tiny 160lbs'er and will have to rely on speed to beat Pavlik, something Hopkins didn't solely rely on. Hopkins roughed him up, mixed it up and kept throwing feints at him, Martinez, whilst an excellent counterpuncher, is just that... a fast in-out southpaw with decent counterpunching ability, I don't see him feint, but I do see him using a bad habit of cocking his jab as if he was to throw it, and then try to bring up his trunks after doing so.

Martinez is highly overrated, stylistically he'll give a sloppy guy like Paul all he can handle, but Pavlik is not exactly sloppy, just one dimensional.

 

i honestly dont give a **** what his next move is, all I know is calslappy would put him through a beating similar to or even worse then what B-hop did. and even if he DOES beat martinez, he's not gonna amount to anything afterwards. the B-hop fight showed just how mediocre pavlik truly is.
