Just been reported that Joe will not vacate his smw title. Everyone knows this is to set up a pavlik fight. What if Calzaghe decides Arthur Abraham instead?

    Who you got?:bbb

Very tough fight to call; it would all depend on how Abraham would be able to deal witht the constant pressure Calzaghe would put on him. I voted Calzaghe but this is a fight I would never bet my money on.

Calzaghe 119-109 (Pavlik-Abraham is 50-50 if you ask me).

Calzaghe easy wide UD, by outboxing him. Abraham struggles with good boxers, he'd likely lose to Taylor also(hard for me to admit it), but matches better with pressure and come forward.

With another Terry Connor-like performance, this fight is over in under a minute...

Abraham by k.o. in round 7. He will punish Joe for his weak defence.

I voted Calzaghe, but Abraham's a tough sob and has great ring smarts: knows when to play possum, when to load up. This fight would be a toss up. If Calzaghe could keep out of the way of an Abraham bomb, he'd win an easy points victory. If he slips up even once, ko.

Abraham. Calzag can box but he'll do little more than tickle Abraham. Calzag can't box well enough to get his respect so Abraham by late stoppage or a 12 round beatdown.

Calzaghe is just too quick and physically gifted for him, even at this stage. Look at the guys he struggles with, they are all runners and movers. Calzaghe's footwork and speed keeps him out of danger, easily outworks him

One constellation I would give AA a chance to beat JC is if JC would fight like he did vs Byron Mitchell...b/c when both would slug it out it would all come down to who's going to take the better shots...and I see lights out for JC...

Though, JC always learned from those fights - he nearly has seen it all and as lng as he doesn't get old over night, he beats AA around 116-112 - 117-111...

Just like all the other fighters who've fought Calzaghe (and LOST :patsch ) punished him for his weak defense?

This fight won't happen. Why? Because Calz is too clever...AA is a nightmare and he will be a "ghostbuster".

To be fair: If it would happen, Calz could win it big by decision, but he cannot allow himself one single mistake or it's game over for him.

I'd probably lean towards Calzaghe, but I'm wondering as to how Calzaghe would take Abraham's power shots and hayemakers.. I'm pretty sure Abraham could take Calzaghe's shots, but Calzaghe would be so much more active..
