Its set, it's on the official ESPN boxing schedule! April 19th in Viva Las Vegas! All the hype will final come to a point. Can Calzaghe prevail over quite possibly the greatest boxer from the past 20 years? I can't wait to see. This thread is to discuss this fight, talk about the buildup, predictions etc. Also, with Roy Jones Jr's outstanding victory over Tito Trinidad Saturday night, could a Jones vs Calzaghe fight be next, or maybe a Jones-Hopkins II?
    Discuss!

"joe's used to fighting mainly shorter guys apart from kessler?" is this the silliest utterance of the year so far?

The Americans being insular again - refusing to give credit to fighters from other countries.

I heard some idiot on here other day (may have been commenting on an article rather than forum) saying that Paul Malignaggi would beat Hatton and Witter put together!

What makes you tink b-hop is smarter than Calzaghe exactly? the two fights he lost against Jermain Taylor? the fact he ducked a prime joe? Always fights midgets?

Joe don't lose to prime fighters like Kessler what makes you think he's going to lose to a 43 year old hopkins?

'Joe’s used to fighting mainly shorter guys apart from Kessler' - Like who? :huh - How about Veit (taller than both Kessler & Hopkins), Brewer (same height), Woodhall (ditto) & Bika, Starie & Sheika (all 6ft) :deal

'Joe isn’t faster than B Hop' - Are you serious?

'I can even say there is a chance B Hop will knock out Joe' - Really? :yep

Bye bye :hi: - Get real!

This fight is a joke and a total mismatch.

Boxing fans are unbelievably ****ing stupid and will prove it again here by paying the PPV fee.

This **** won't even be competative. Calzaghe by landslide. PotShotkins will try his best to start fighting around round 5 or 6, throw 10 punches, and cheat like hell by fighting dirty, but the Hopkins that fought Trinidad is LONG gone.

    Calzaghe by wide wide UD.

    No, I am having problems.

Calzaghe isn't the next step in evolution. He is infact two stages ahead.

I am currently looking for the missing link, between humans and Joe Calzaghe.
