depends which B-hop shows up, if he starts late and does not get going until round six, if he starts early, i think he could beat joe, but even so, still a 43 year old,
uhhhhh, calzaghe threw over 1000 punches against kessler. when was the last time b-hop KO'd someone? when was the last time calzaghe looked like he was close to being KO'd? ....and the speed part is not even worth bothering with. if you're so blinded by your love for hopkins that you can't see that he is slower than calzaghe then you are beyond help.
Comedy post of the year. Didnt he throw 1000 + shots at Lacy and Kessler??! Lacy may be Manfredo standard, but Kess certainly isn't!! Also the Manfedo fight didnt go far enough for him to throw 1000 shots, so please mate get your facts straight. I know what a reply will be now...... " well why is the manfredo fight stopped so soon " if it hadn't have stoped in the third, ith would have done in the forth!!
In all fairness i thought Kess was going to put Joe on his ass at one point in that forth round, but fairplay to him his chin is dynamite. If Kessler cant put Joe down, i doubt B-pops will.
i think joe will beat him.. i dont think hes scared of fighting in america, american fans are not scary and they dont get loud like the brits.. it will be a good fight, if hopkins wants to win hes gonna have to out work joe otherwise hes gonna get schooled all night:yep, i think joe is no2 p4p behind the king mayweather.. after he beats hopkins i think thats where he will go infront of manny pakkicunt
To me it's simple: BHop is the better fighter, has the better resume, has looked better against top competition, and has done more impressive things in the ring. However, he is now rapidly approaching senior citizen status. Therefore, here is my take. Hopkins SHOULD win. He is the better fighter technically, has a great history against southpaws, and has the talents needed to beat a guy like JC who those "1000 punches a fight". If Hopkins doesn't get REALLY REALLY old overnight (poor use of term, but you get my drift), he will win by UD. If the age finally catches up with the training and stamina, he will lose. I still see the old man pulling it out. Look at it this way: When was the last time JC fought someone who knew understood the concept of defense in boxing? It may not be his fault, but JC has been fighting one-dimensional fighters. The winner of the fight is not whoever can throw the most punches, it's whoever is most effective. Calzaghe will not hit Hopkins with any regularity. He will not out-muscle Hopkins. He also will not shock Hopkins. Hopkins will be the one to surprise Calzaghe. Hopkins will be hard to hit, and will be probably use rough-house tactics to throw JC off. In the end, JC has never been in the ring with a fighter that could shine Hopkins' shoes...Maybe BHop has lost it all, maybe he's run out of gas, maybe the stamina and coordination is gone. It could be, he's 43. However, it not, he wins by UD in a demonstration of balance, counter-punching, lead right hands, and defense.
I disagree with the rest of the post but had no problems with it: Explain to me how Hopkins looked better against "top compition" i.e: Taylor and Winky? Joe's biggest fights have been his best performences; also Kessler is a better SMW than Tito was a MW or Tarver was a LHW. So Joe's best opponent is better than Hopkins :good.
So let me get this right, if Hopkins wins it's because he's great and if Joe wins it's only because Hopkins has got REALLY REALLY old overnight Wow, way to go, you've really put yourself on the line with that prediction
ONE DIMENSIONAL FIGHTERS...... mate give the bloke so well deserved respect for a change, the comments are so boring!!
I hate how people keep going on about the age of them both and not mentioning that they are both top 5 p4p which has nothing to do with their age.
