    Too early to tell. Beterbiev hasn't faced anything remotely close to a peak Calzaghe yet. If he beat Kovalev then we can talk.

    Got to go with the speed and work rate of zaghe Beouche. I don't think Beterbiev would be mentally ready to go against a guy that experienced right now imo. Maybe in a few years time I'd change my mind though.

    Calzaghe wasn't a light heavy, he got dropped by ancient BHop and Roy Jones. He would get decimated by Beterbiev, there's a difference between using pitty pat punches to keep defensive BHop away and trying to keep a monster like Beterbiev away. Calzaghe is ridiculously overrated, Ward, Kovalev, Gvodzyk etc. would all beat him easily. It sounds crazy when people make threads like this making Calzaghe sound like a formidable opponent at light heavy.

    Beterbiev is a beast. But I'm very sure Calzaghe takes this.. he was a special fighter.. exceptional all rounder.
