If a P4P fighter like Hopkins isn't elite in what he did prior and after losing to JC is not an elite fighter then I don't know what your criteria for being elite is.

In fact by your own criteria Ward has never beaten an elite fighter either then.

I note that you claim kov faced a faded hopkins but you find it hard to otherwise admit 40something hopkins was fading.

nice one mate, are you trying to set a record with digging three holes in three threads simul?

Compare what Hopkins at 43 did before and after JC to what a 49 Hopkins did after SK then get back to me troll.

cmon pal the kessler win was good, given kess was elite albeit had only one hand for most of the fight.

aside from that no elite win that you can crow about.

    Exactly. Near retirement.

So what makes people think he would beat Beterbiev, who is in his prime now and punches like a cruiserweight?

BTW - Beterbiev fought Usky in a close fight too.

Maybe people want a hypothetical battle in which Calzaghe moves up to 175. I mean, we're making the rules here as this is a fantasy fight so why not have him move up younger rather than put a diminished version in there with Beterbiev?

Forgetting mythical no blueprint Calzaghe for a minute.... Beterbiev KOs him

Joe at 175 was Great enough to beat arguably the best version of Hopkins and humiliate a shot to pieces Jones, but not a highly skilled full blown monster who can put you on Q Street with one cuffing shot

No one can take Beterbiev's shots, even Usyk in the ams didnt like them. Joe's modus operandi to attack when hurt would be a disaster here

    Beterbiev by KO

When exactly was Calzaghe's prime? No one knows because he was busy defending some unregarded WBO belts against stiffs in Cardiff. I keep hearing Calzaghe's prime but no one can actually point to me when exactly it was.

Physical prime? Pick his late 20s. Feat prime we could pick him from the Lacy fight and have him move up then.

Whatever way you look at it or think of him his prime certainly wasn't the tail end of his 30s.
