How long did the ref take to start the count?

Only a lazy boxing fan can ask that question. You had one year to inform yourself properly but you chose not to. Take your watch and count. At 8, Bute will be up. What the referee does is irrelevant. Beside, the ref never starts the count. The timekeeper does.

BTW, tell me: who is your favourite fighter? I have checked your previous posts and after 3 pages I was still searching for the first boxing information. You're just bitching on any subject, like a little girl.

Bute gassed against Andrade, he would more than likely gas agaist Calzaghe, would be a great fight mind you

Wow, Calzageh has shown many sides to his game, he is the most adaptive fighter of the last 20yrs, once he was a KO artist, then injuries took over, he just out boxed people, this is utterly preposterous.

Calzaghe UD by 5-6 rounds AT LEAST.

Joe's retired for good I think but Bute's a guy who can improve and has. Tricky too. Wouldn't be a run away for anybody I don't think. That's if it's at light heavy instead of super middle. Joe in no uncertain terms is not a super middleweight anymore even if he came back.

I'm not saying Bute would win but the first question to ask is: against what version of Calzaghe? Anyone thinking Calzaghe would be as good as ever at 38 after retiring is insane. You say Bute doesn't diserve to be in the same ring than Calzaghe? I suggest you go on boxrec and take a look on a couple of dozens of boxers who didn't diserve more than Bute to be in the same ring than Calzaghe and still managed to be. Calzaghe's resume is not only made of world champions and tough unifications...

P.S. Calzaghe was an extraordinary boxer and his capacity to adapt was beautiful to watch.

calzaghe said when he retires he wont come back and he meant it.
    so dont hold your breath.

just for the record; even a rusty calzaghe coming back without a warm up fight beats bute allday everyday.calz is all wrong for bute.

I disagree but it's ok. My body is becoming older and I can't imagine Calzaghe returning as good as he was before retiring, at 38.

I got much respect for Cal but at 38 years old it could'nt be this easy!
Cal didn't face a lot of quick southpaw like Bute but we can say the same thing the other way!

Calzaghe could fight effectively 10-12 rounds, he has already proven it against the top rank boxers. He has gone the distance in a lot of his fights. Doubting Bute can hang toe-to-toe with Calzaghe in the later rounds, but Bute seems to do better in the first few rounds, he has good power and speed which does make an exciting matchup with Calzaghe.

I guess if the question is who hits harder Bute of Calzaghe ? The answer will be Calzaghe !!! Some guy from England once told me that he hits harder than Tyson !!!
