Calzaghe vs Dawson and Kessler on showtime!

How would he achieve this at 168 hoss?

 

i think throwing dawson in with calzaghe already would be kinda dumb, he should fight tarver, he is washed up and would still give him a marquee name

 

Tarver's going to avoid Dawson like the plague.

 

I think Dawson has a hard time making 168 and that's why he moved to 175.If this fight does come off i dont want to see a drained Dawson in there against Joe because i think he has a good shot when fresh.

Why is it that every potential Joe match-up that gets talked about(Hopkins Jones Johnson Woods Tarver Taylor Wright and now Dawson)is against somebody not even in his weightclass when Kessler is right there and everybody wants to see that fight.He never wants to move up or down in weight and expects everybody to do it against him.I think he does it to keep his name out there amongst guys he knows will not end up fighting him as a distraction for the Kessler fight.

Tarver avoids anybody with a pulse.

Calzaghe vs Dawson would be great but it would be safer to do this fight in 175. I don't want to hear "Dawson was drained and because of it he lost". In 175 Chad has a chance to beat Joe, I think.

 

I'm not sure this proposed deal makes sense from the Calzaghe point of view. Sure, it gets Calzaghe-Kessler the $5M they want, but to get there, Calzaghe must beat someone who's probably more of a threat to Joe than Kessler is, in Dawson, as I'm not sure how well Calzaghe's flurries would play against Dawson's slickster defense. It's an interesting rumor, but I'm betting that Calzaghe would want to face someone who's more of a gimme in the lead in fight, unless Showtime guarantees they'll carry the Kessler fight even if Calzaghe loses.

I dont understand a dawson vs calzaghe fight. While I'll be happy to watch it, I think the Kessler fight makes loads more sense. Kessler is a legit threat in Calzaghes own weight class. Why does dawson have to drop down?
