Sean (Charlotteville, VA): If Showtime makes Calzaghe fight Dawson first, do they not realize the very real possibilty that Joe and Kessler never comes off? Or is that their hope in creating Dawson?

Dan Rafael: (2:29 PM ET ) Of course, Showtime knows that. I don't think the Dawson fight will happen though. If Calzaghe takes the Showtime deal I am pretty sure the interim bout would be against a different opponent.

Fighting a LHW won't hurt JC's chances:patsch what with his sturdy hands 'n' all.

So Dawson truly is planning to duck Diaconnu at all cost. Word is he will change weight and drop is belt to avoid him.

Sounds great but give him Tarver first as a tune up

Kessler needs Glen Johnson first as a tune up and team Kessler seems to know it

Heck Match Dawson in against Mundine or Froch on the same night for a great biuld-up tournament

No one from 160-175 will beat either Kessler or JC.

Having them fight anyone else but eachother is ridiculous..

Especially since JC breaks his hands every time he fights..

Beating Dawson would only postpone the Kessler fight even longer..

Dawson looked good against Adamek, as long as the pole hadn't turned up, but please remember what a little polish pressure did to young Chad..

JC and Kessler will destroy yet another American hype job..

What American has Kessler ever faced Mr. Euro-supremists?

Didnt Calzaghe say he wants three more fights? He could fight two in the tournament then top it off with a big HBO pay-day against either Hopkins Winky or Pavlik.

Calzaghe needs to fight three names and cement his legacy. I won't hold it against him if he doesn't take the Dawson fight. Some are already discrediting his win over Lacy.

I would rather see Calzaghe - Kessler.

After Dawson-Calzaghe there would be no Kessler fight for Joe, as Chad would beat him and take his P4P spot.

Calzaghe's chances go up at 168 though, Dawson may have some real problems making SMW now that he's filled out to his natural weightclass as a LHW.

At 175 Dawson would decision Calzaghe to a competetive points win and would win a wide UD against Kessler imo.

At 168 who knows what happens.
