Dawson is a good fighter but I have to go with Calzaghe based on speed, workrate and overall intensity. Still this fight will never happen.

Yeah, give a boxing lesson on punch technique. :rofl Or defense "how to charge in with your chin in the air like an amateur".

Shitty performance by JC? Yes he has. But the thing with Joe is that he STILL manages to win. THAT is what makes him a great fighter as opposed to merely world class. Unlike, say Shane Moseley, who lost twice to Vernon Forrest, and many many others who lost fights they should have won

Dawson by UD. Something like 8-4. Calzaghe isnt blowing a guy like Dawson out. Sorry guys, but if you've watched Calzaghe's fights against Jones, Hopkins and Kessler, he is not that great when fighting someone just a little bit competant. And I think Dawson is better then all 3 of these guys.

Dawson is 6'3 true light heavyweight. CAlzaghe sticks his chin out and gets caught, its gonna hurt. And I just dont see Calzaghe commanding Dawson like he did certain stretches of the Jones and Hopkins fight. Dawson is just too big and fast.

Dawson have a big talent. But his boring to watch and his definately not a warrior like JC.
JC workrate is fare fare fare to much for Dawson. JC by wide decision.
Afterwards Dawson would be explored as just another Jeff Lacy.
Dawson, forget TarverIII or anything else, fight Glen Johnson you have unfinished business with this man.

Hey - I can tell you Dawson will loose 3 times if he fights Kessler, RJJ, Hopkins.

Anyway I hope Dawson will never meet Hopkins, It will probably be the most boring fight the world ever has seen.

unlike shane mosley? you gotta be kidding me, this comparison is a joke. You don't think he's a great fighter? :patsch he's above and beyond Calzaghe.

btw, Vernon Forrest was a very good boxer, probably better than 99% of the names on Calzaghe's resume.

I personally believe Chad is very skilled however, it won't come down to skillset as to who wins. I believe Calzaghe's ring generalship and chin will win this one.

Should have made the poll public and compared the names to the ones that picked Hatton over Pacquaio. Then after throwing those names out you'll have a slightly less stupid poll result.

If Joe fought Dawson in 2009 he would get embarrassed and probably stopped.

You are comparing beating Tarver to beating Hopkins there!!! Also as you said "Hopkins a past prime 42 year old" beat Tarver easier than Dawson did and then Calzaghe beat Hopkins (which he did no matter what you think). Also no matter what Hopkins age is, he is top 5 p4p, was top 5 p4p when calzaghe fought him and tarver is no where near anyone's top 50 p4p lists!
