At 175 Joe was not at his best anymore due to age and injuries,hes too small for 175 anyway,unlike Hopkins who was feasting on midgets all his career at 160 despite the fact that he is natural LHW and lost his first pro fight at 175.

Joe was a big guy with a lot of great attributes, as well as obviously being a southpaw.

 

Joe was relatively unknown before his fantastic performance against Lacy in 2006.

 

Kelly Pavlik would have done more for his resume and his bank account.

 

He was avoided by some people. But he was also dismissed by people too.

Again, he did avoid some fighters, as well as the LHW division earlier on his career.
