Seeing as how both fighters are aggressive, I think it would make a great fight, but I'd favor Joe. What do you all think of this match up? A potential fight of the year candidate? I don't know much about Woods and Joe would kill Hopkins, I'd like to see this for the sake of action.

Now it doesnt make any sense. Johsnon is old now. It would have made sense couple years ago and Hoe would easily win a UD.

Joe can't stop Johnson so would have to rely on his speed and mobility to stay out of trouble. Johnson takes an age to throw his punches these days, I don't think he'd get anywhere near Calzaghe. Wide UD.

I would love to see this fight, action packed as well. I think Calzaghe would probably win the decision, unless Johnson could catch Calzaghe with something big.

These two were actually supposed to fight in July of 2006. Suprisingly, Joe got injured right before the fight and pulled out. I would have to go with Glen Johnson in this one(unless it was fought in England, Joe would probably get the hometown decision)

What are you talking about? What is Calzaghe supposed to be unbeatable or something? Johnson is a tough, rugged LHW. Joe has never fought at LHW. I hate to go against Calzaghe, but I don't think this is a good matchup for him. Good thing he came up with that injury right before they were supposed to fight. If he hadn't, he may never have fought Kessler.

I would much rather see Johnson/Calzaghe than Woods/Calzaghe, at least Johnson would try and make the fight competitive enough to watch.

Joe would probably win a wide point decision in a very one-sided fight.

Ottke beat Johnson, and so did Branco. Why should Joe have any trouble with Johnson?

between 160 and 175 Clazaghe is unbeatable.....until some young talented lion comes into town. I thought Kessler was that man but he lost widely and still managed to perform really well.

That says it all to me about Calzaghe. I cant see who would beat him, Pavlik, or Dawson maybe.
