Who really cares except for JC and BHop?

I certainly don't - It doesn't mean all that much in the terms of who really is the big movers and shakers at 175. It's a terrible fight for B Hop and I don't really see how it aids either fighter - B Hops wont press him or stop him and Calzaghe either wins over an "old man" or gets beaten - Neither one really adding much.

I really don't wana see this fight get made.

I love Hopkins however I think Joe edges him by UD 115-113. I dont think hopkins will be busy enough to win over the judges.

It just shows how uncomfident people are with joe. I mean really even most joe fans think a 43 year old hopkins can hang with him, what does that say if he does about joe? He's not that great, so if your a joe fan you might want to quite asking for this fight because if he looses or even bearly beats hopkins it will definately hurt his legacy that you all think he has.

I'm actually the opposite, because beating him period does little for his legacy when better fights can be made, and I firmly believe that Hopkins won't even take a round at his current state.

Nuthuggery at its finenest folks! You could of just said that Joe would win, but instead you write all the ****. MAYBE Joe would beat Hopkins but saying he would win every round and make Hopkins quit?? Well I think a snowball has a better chance making it through hell.

Wright was not blown up. Wright was fifth I believe in the P4P list when Hopkins beat him, and was undeafeted in 7-8 years. Thats a lot better than anyone Calzaghe beat.

if wright was not blown up and light heavy is where he is at now then he should not be ranked on any lb 4 lb list as the light heavy version of wright is slow and plodding both of hand and foot.

Calzaghe wins by outworking and outhustling B-Hop.

It'll look a little like that Tazmanian Devil looney tunes character spinning a dervish around Elmer Fudd

the arguement tends to go who has calzaghe beaten , while hopkins has beaten atg fighters.

would calzaghe have been beaten by

    tito
    odlh
    wright.

in the opion`s of the hopkins supporters. ?

I wont be betting on the fight if it happens but it sure would be interesting to see these totally different personalities and styles go at it.

They really do need each other if you ask me. Calzaghe doesnt have enough names on his resume and all of Hopkin's big names are of men quite a bit smaller except RJJ, whom he lost to.

James Toney's and RJJ's accomplishments impress me more than both of the above so far.

If you watched Hopkins/Wright and didn't see two completely shot fighters, you may give bhop a chance. For the rest of us this is a clear mismatch.

total mis match, but a good scalp on Calzaghe's resume imo.

Jones handled a physically prime Hopkins with relative ease, and I see this going the same way, maybe more one sided though. Hopkins got beat by Taylor who's slower than Calzaghe of both hand and foot. Basically speed kills, so add a killer workrate, great footwork, handspeed and punching angles and how the hell anyone gives the slow pondering Hopkins a chance is beyone me... but then these are probably the same morons that thought Lacy could beat JC... I'm all for being patriotic, but get with it girls.

hopkins will need to get inside calzaghe`s mind and make calzaghe fight in a temper and without focus to stay competitive.

if calzaghe is up for it, stays focused and brings his a game, then that version of calzaghe will trump anything this version of hopkins can bring to the table.
