Thats simply farcial. Wright was blown up and looked awful. As for p4p lists, they mean nothing on fightnight. Hopkins and Wright taking part in the seniors tour circle jerk is not impressive and I'd hate to see Joe get sucked into that farce. I'd much rather he fight against young, fresh and dangerous opponents like Dawson. Far too much emphasis placed on fame and recognised 'names'.
I think JC will beat hopkins too much workrate, great footwork, handspeed and punching angles, i think hopkins would be waiting to late and trying to "nick" rounds 10seconds at the end of each round, but i just cannot see hopkins out working or having the better of JC, i think if we see how hopkins performed against taylor and we all agree i think JC is better the taylor, hopkins will have too much on his plate on the night. JC to win UD.
Doesn't matter who would win, the fight won't happen and you can spend the rest of your lifes talking about the ifs and buts.
Give it up rumsy.even b pops knows he'll lose and the avoidance tactics are starting to pervade from his camp and gbp. and for the umpteenth time quit smoking.we dont want to lose you.
All of you Calzaghe fanatics are in for a rude awakening when this fight happens and your boy Calzaghe, not Hopkins, is the one looking like an old man in the ring. I am utterly baffled by the fact so many of you are counting Hopkins out. It's inexplicable, especially considering the scenarios portrayed by the Calzaghe faithful are invariably those of a simpleton. :smoke
Calzaghe ud. Hopkins is not active enough at this stage in his career to handle Calzaghe. Fight does nothing for either fighter imo except make them alot richer. Hopkins should fight Jones and retire
Hopkins wins. One thing to consider is that since Hopkins has moved up to LHW, he has been a lot more active. He was the aggressor against Tarver and he was very active against Wright. A lot more than in the past. People thought that Wright's activity, jab, and pressure along with his defense and southpaw stance would give Hopkins fits. It didn't. Hopkins made Wright look like a C-class fighter. I doubted Hopkins when he fought Tarver. I doubted Hopkins when he fought Wright. I won't doubt him again. If he's getting in the ring with Calgazhe, it's because he knows he can beat him and has a plan. He is to pridefuly and smart to get in the ring against someone he might lose to.
hopkins threw about the same number of punches as kessler threw v calzaghe and that v a much smaller slower man who was not firing heavy artillary at him.
