    Not long now folks.

I have changed my avatar from Roy for once in homage to "supernatural" Joe Calzaghe.

Usually I get a mental picture of how a fight will play out but I'm still not sure on this one.

I have actually added a Bernard avatar because I can't help but respect the man, as a man. He is a genius at how he carries himself. Ive been a harsh critic of his resume before, but i'm coming round.
I still think Joe takes it, but it will be a lot closer than people think.

Nah man, the handspeed and footspeed difference will be unreal.
Calzaghe is going to dominate Hopkins, which is a bit of a shame because Hopkins is a damn good fighter.

considering the amount of underdogs winning fights recently - and considering the next big star dawson was made to look below average against johnson, im getting ever so slightly nervous for joe against b-hop now.. i just have the nagging feeling joe is going to age overnight.. something has me not feeling right when watching his training videos.. i dont know what it is, but he doesnt seem the same fighter who broke down kessler - and it was only back in november in his last fight.. anyone else get this feeling?

Cheers for the link hoss! Intruiging stuff.

Calzaghe is one cold hearted *******, he really is. He doesn't give a flying **** about his fans, Hopkins, America, the media... anything. He's in this for one person and one person only, himself. He is so self dedicated, so sure of what he wants to do it's quite frightening. He knows Hopkins can hit him but he's prepared for that and is prepared to put himself in a vulnerable position to get the big rewards.

Hopkins is as prepared as is possible for a 43 year old to be, you have to admire his level of dedication. He's got the mental smarts over Calzaghe in this fight and he looks quite sharp in those clips, but for how long can a 43 year old keep up with the pace that Joe unrelentlessly sets? He may do it for a few rounds or half the fight but JC always puts his opponents through the mill and makes them work for every second of 9-10 rounds per fight. Joe's chin is proven iron so it's highly unlikely Hopkins can KO him. So he has got to do it on points. I just can't see Bernard being able to keep up with the pace that Joe is going to be setting all night long.

i just have a feeling that Calzaghe is underating hopkins , i think calzaghe knows what he wants and is determined to win but i think he is over looking the skills of this opponent Hopkins has talked about how to neutrilise his opponent but joe is just mentioning on how good he is not how his opponent is! e.g. im fitter, faster , look at how hopkins can settle down calzaghes work rate just by brushing his flurrys off with slight shoulder movement and quick countering rights i seen him try a bit of that while he is in training for this fight, Hopkins will need to keep the work rate down by holding firm and dominating from middle of the ring, Hopkins has been in there with great fighters n this is a big step up from Kessler for calzaghe not a step down like calzaghe and some average fans are thinking!

I want calzaghe to win but i think it will be to much for him!
