Whoever compares him to Hearns or Hagler are the same people that will call him a worthless bum if he loses, in other words those are the n00bs posting, ignoring them is the best choice. :good

About Pavlik, he is a very good fighter who can bring a lot of exciting fights for boxing, definitely not a GREAT fighter but the type of fighter that boxing needs. He's still fresh and young with a style that could trouble any fighter with whatever style.

In full agreement, a guy with pressure, workrate, and solid power/offensive tools is a very good fighter, and on top of that exciting to watch, definitely looking forward to his fights :good

It took Slappy ten years to fight a top fighter in Lacy for the most part he has fought med level guys and bums because he is scared of fighting out side of Wales:scaredas: Pavilk has done more in one year then Joe has done in ten:smoke
Kessler has fought only med level guys as of yet:rasta Pavlik has fought a monster in Miranda and a out standing Talent in Taylor:thumbsup

Pavlik just became champion, comparing him to Hagler or Hearns at this stage of his career is foolish. One thing is for sure though, he'll give us exciting fights and that's badly needed in todays boxing.

Pavlik has only really stepped up his last two fights, Kessler and Joe have consistently fought a higher level of comp for much longer.

I know i'll cop a lot of **** for this, but watch Taylor and Mundine (his last few fights, Soliman, Green) on film, Taylor has absoloutely achieved more, and on paper is the much bigger scalp but, head to head they're very, very comparable.

I agree with China_hand_Joe, Mosley-Cotto is a fight for the fans essentially like MAB-Pac is and I will be more pumped up for the NYC MSG Nov 10 date, nobody really cares for a fraction of the ww title and the WBA commission though... But Calzaghe and Kessler has much more at stake, not only the two best undefeated 168-pounders title holders in a unification to decide who's the best but also there's a lot of money at stake for the winner against the best american foes in a SUPER - super mw fight next... I am also very interested in getting to know about both Europeans heart in such a collision so that I can compare them better with the others, there's no issue about their caliber - both Top 12 P4P fighters in my view.

Froch is an even bigger puncher than Pavlik!! Furthermore Froch has an iron chin. It'll take someone very special to beat him

And both would beat the **** out of Pavlik.

Calzaghe would do a Lacy job on a come forward fighter like Pavlik.

Anyone who denies the importance of this fight is delusional and that's an understatement. How many times does it happen in modern days boxing that 3 of the major titles are unified in a given division (and it should be 4 but the IBF ****ed up again) in a battle btw the #1 and #2 fighters. I'm not saying this will be the fight of the century or decade or even the year, but it is one of the most important battles nowadays.

I look forward to seeing the Cal v Kes fight!
They are, undoubtedly, the best in the division.
I also hope the Mormeck/Haye fight is televised over here. Haye sounds like the real deal and willing to fight anybody!
