We have a simple one question test, to determine whether or not someone is knowledgable about boxing>

Q> Prime for prime who win a boxing match under modern rules at 168... Joe Calzaghe or Sugar Ray Robinson -questionmark-

80-85%+ give Calzaghe no chance at all.

Kessler is treatet like Calzaghe before the Lazy fight, underrated as hell.
He can fight inside as well, but never needed it, I hope Calzaghe can press
Kessler to the limit, so we can see he's real potential.
I'm serius and I think Kessler will win pretty easy!

Well I guess they labor over the fact that many have him as the best MW or top 3 at MW ever. He isn't in my top 5 MW. And at 168, I think Calzaghe takes a clear decision.

Robinson could be competitive with the green Calzaghe, who was open to an aggressive lead right on an off day. Against a seasoned Calzaghe he is a massive underdog.

Big size difference, little skill diffrential, no stylistic advantage. You simply have to favor Calzaghe.

I think Robinson gets stopped even in an era/era comparison. A peak Calzaghe hit very hard in accumulation and would land on the open Robinson, who's speed is nowhere near Calzaghe's to begin with.

But then people say 'Robinson almost beat Maxim!'. My retort - 'What does that have to do with this'. Their comeback - 'Maxim is better than Calzaghe...'.

You see why JC fans are nuttttty?

Joe C is excellent on the outside, but he'll be timed with a jab and Keesler right hand

    It is quite possible.

Not only that but the combination of the two means he is greater than the sum of his parts.
