I cant see why people put Calzaghe down. The man has made 21 defences and is unbeaten in 43 fights. I mean people say he hasnt fought good opposition but thats only because they are going on the fact he is such a big name and people expect him to face legends every fight. The man has beat Brewer, mitchell, Lacy, Sheika, Veit twice. Yeah these guys are not top notch but he still beat them all with a bit to spare. He done a number on these world rated fighters.
He is gonna show the world another step up against Kessler.
My opinion of Kessler is a good one. He has very good boxing skill, resonably good power, world class jab and fairly decent handspeed. He, like Calzaghe has beaten some not bad people with a lot to spare.
This is Calzaghes toughest fight I agree but Kessler is going in with someone who is a universe better than Andrade, Beyer and Mundine.
I read an interview on Kessler once and he was going on about his Andrade fight and what he done to him so Calzaghe should watch out. lol. Me being a huge Calzaghe fan, this is great, as he is gonna be in for a massive shock when Calzaghe shows him that his angles, handspeed and most of all stamina is 1000 times better than anyone Kessler has fought.

In all honesty I think Kessler is good enough to give Joe a great fight and win three or four rounds with maybe a level round but I see Calzaghe putting on an amazing performance to win this fight. It may even be a SD with one judge siding with Kessler.
    :good
ENjoy this fight but let me promise you that Joe Calzaghe will be 44 - 0 come November the 4th morning.

Gotta agree with you here, Kessler is a good, solid champion, but Calzaghe is something else, very unorthodox, and I think too smart and posing too many problems that Kessler has never faced before, and thus wont be able to deal with

I think you gave the answer yourself. He should have stepped up his level of competition, an unbeaten record isn't worth **** if you keep fighting low level guys. You can't claim to be elite if you only fought sub par opposition.

Not to mention his slapping. It's aweful.

Kessler faces two major new challenges that may cause him trouble. An opponent thatis likely to be slightly faster in some areas and a huge hostile crowd that may sway the judges. As for the first one Kessler has the tools to deal with it. For the second one it remains open. We'll know a whole lot more after the first three rounds.

I just read that Brian Nielsen thinks that JCs speed can be a problem for MK but also that MK is bigger and stronger. Yes, Brian Nielsen has seen JC box live.

As far as the opinions given in the latest issue of Ring go, there is no surprise there. The British believes in JC.

Why not? If MK beats JC we can enjoy ourselves calling JC the
    "Brian Nielsen of Wales".:D
