Calzaghe - I won money on that fight. But my flatmate deserves the credit. He said "Lacy's ****, he'll get battered" and he wasnt wrong.

I went for Calzaghe, but I thought that the fight would be competitive so my pick was nearly as bad as anyone who picked Lacy. I have been sold on Joe since I first saw him against Byron Mitchell.

I was for JC because in a fight against a boxer, the puncher will typically lose.

I hold my hands up and admit i thought Lacy was gonna brutalize Joe, I thought that Joe was on the slide and that Lacy would get to him with his power i voted i thought Lacy would win but im surprised its an even poll from what i remember it was like 80 percent for a Lacy win.

I was leaning towards Lacy, especially after the talk of the time it was airing was messing up joe, but damn I was surprised at the outcome:?

I backed Jeff for the upset.....I knew the fight would be difficult due to Joe's style but I thought Jeff might possibly edge him in strength. Jeff was not able to impose his will and when I thought about it afterwards Jeff was a bit overhyped and to easy to hit. Joe took complete advatage of his handspeed and exp level and boxed Jeff's ears off. I remember reading an article to pointed towards certain illegal drugs in the US that are legal and basically abused in the UK.....now I still feel Joe C would have defeated Jeff but the article did raise eyebrows as to why a number of fighters across seas seem reluctant when having to travel to the US for a fight. I don't know how valid the article is but here is one....(It doesnt mention the legality of the drugs but it points to the abuse).....I know its a big issue in the US I just never knew it was the case across seas.

Lacy was the betting favorite in the UK.

Its not that kind of steriod abuse, they have a problem with roiders.

Roiders are like the Sun, big, orange and you shouldnt stare at them.

I did not know too much about Cal then. Saw Lacy in a few fights and thought since his power was the equalizer and would save him again he used it to stop some some good opponents. (Reid although past it Calzaghe struggled with, Vanderpool, and Pemberton who was past it as well)

I picked Lacy to win by stoppage but more based on ignorance about Calzaghe as a fighter.

I thought Calzaghe was gonna be destroyed by Lacy.

The results of this poll are lying...most people thought Lacy was going to win.

I would say 3 out of every 4 people I talked to before the fight thought Lacy was gonna stop Joe.

i really like both jeff and joe. I was rooting for Calzaghe but i thought Joe would win the early rounds and maybe knock Jeff down but that Lacy would eventually get to Calzaghe. I was wrong. I',m happy Joe won but i'm not ashamed that i went for Lacy by Ko. a a lot of guys did.

Almost everybody outside of Britain was betting on Jeff Lacy. I remember all the self appointed experts comparing him to Mike Tyson, but none of them bothered to mention that Lacy was slower and easier to hit than Tyson. Lacy himself had so much swaggering self confidence iit was laughable. When asked if he could win a decision in Britain, he replied it wasn't going to the judges. I suppose he expected Calzaghe to just stand there and get hit like all the rest of his victims. After Lacy got his rude awakening, all the self appointed experts started saying he was overrated. As I see it the only thing overrated is the self appointed experts who don't know the first thing about boxing.
