JC took Kesslers' shots very well. But KP's power is on a whole other level. Ask Edison Miranda what Pavliks' shots feel like. It could very well be ended early. But Calazghe is one tough cookie. Hopefully this fight will eventually happen.

Yes I feel the same. Still can't wait to see him beating up Hops.

Kessler - "He has more tricks than a magician"

I like Kelly a lot, but sorry, I just see him looking confused after 2.

That's the part you don't understand about Pavlik. His game isn't about figuring people out or being cute with some game plan. His game is about coming forward and throwing punches. And he will eat punches in the process but you will also eat his punches. And his punches have tons of KO power on them. Eventually, they will get to you. And this is a guy who isn't just a limited fighter. This guy is sound fundamentally and he has good enough hand speed.

He doesn't try to get cute or figure you out. He only fights one way. And in a slug fest, JC is simply outmatched against Pavlik.

JC was outmatched in the slugfest against Kessler too. See round 4 especially.

Yeah, but Kessler doesn't have the devastating power Pavlik has. That's the difference.

Don't get me wrong, i'm not putting down JC. I think in his prime, he would probably outclass Pavlik but right now, with Pavlik ascending and JC aging, i think Pavlik would win.

I know that talking is what we do here, I really think that you guys are getting way ahead here. First off I think that Joe is in his toughest fight of his career, I personally think that he will lose to hopkins. And Pavlik is a shoe in to win a rematch with Taylor. Keep in mind that Pavlik could have been stopped just as Taylor was. Pavlik was given a chance to fight on when alot of refs would have stopped the fight in the second.

I think that Kelly will win vs Taylor but Joe will lose to Hopkins.:rasta

    :patsch

I hope you're talking about p4p power (and even then I'm not sure I agree...)

People need to stop saying Pavlik has greater H2H power than Kessler at SMW until we see Pavlik knock out a durable top SMW. That has never happened, and anything said on the matter is conjecture until it does happen.

Anything said is just a matter of opinion because we haven't seen it but in my opinion, i think Pavlik can carry his power well to SMW. His fight with JT is at 166 and it's because both guys have trouble making weight. These guys are huge MWs to begin with.

Sure, but huge MW does not mean incredibly strong SMW. That extra weight can and might have a detrimental effect. Then again, it can be an improvement and free a fighter to more comfortably utilize their power, as with Miranda. We shall see. :D

I'd need to see Pavlik at 168. His power could be even better and his chin very good. Or he could be complete ****.

Id like sources please....If Joe said that I respect him and feel sorry for him at the same time....As much as I tend to bash Joe on here I do like him and hope he beats Hopkins...Joe tends to ruin styles by fighting as oppossed to Bhop who mauls and headbutts...Joe should be careful what he wishes for...After the Hopkins(hopefully Kessler does something meaningful in the meantime) I want Calzaghe-Kessler2
Now on to Pavlik if it does happen Joe will get KOd...its really a no brainer...Joes speed will be nullified as Taylors was...
Pavlik is just as if not more active than Joe..with most of Joes punches for points while Pavliks punches are meant to break something...this is a historical universal..
    Joe is smart and awkward
This sadly is not enough to keep Joe alive for more than 10 rounds
Let Joe ride off into the sunset after beating Bslop, Roy Jones, Kessler again or maybe Bute to have all 4 belts...thats it and I would be more than satisfied with Joes Career.....Also I don't want 2 of my favorite fighters to face off especially when it's not necessary for eithers legacy

An odd side note I have a screen shot of the new Boxing game by 2ksports and it happens to be Calzaghe in the ring with Pavlik...anyone else seen it?
