    Here's Joe Calzaghe interview slagging off Kelly Pavlik and Kelly Pavlik interview rubbishing Joe's claims that he turned down 2 fights with him. I let Kelly know about this video this morning.

    He got tired of Frank Warren playing him, and now he's doing an even worse job of playing the public:deal

    I know but you don't get to speak with the champ often. I don't think Calzaghe is telling the truth because why after beating Lacy would you want to fight a unknown middleweight challenger that nobody has ever heard off(at that time). He's also wrong about after Pavlik beat Lockett because on the Top Rank PPV Kelly clearly mentioned Calzaghe as the next fighter he wanted to fight. Frank Warren has also talked about pushing Joe to meet Pavlik but Joe wasn't having it and split with Warren instead.

    It wouldn't surprise me if they are both telling the truth.

    When Frank Warren is involved nothing would surprise me.

    Sean posted some info that makes it sound like it was HBO that approached Cameron Dunkin about a possible fight right after Lacy. Dunkin shot it down without ever talking to Kelly. I can't remember what thread that is on. Anyway, if I was Joe, I sure as hell would not be bragging about offering a fight to an unknown middleweight who was recovering from a career threatening hand injury.

    Wouldn't read anything into it. Calzaghe and Pavlik both went on record talking about their respect for each other - of course this was before they knew that they'd definitely be fighting each other next year. So now they're firing away before they're upcoming fights so everybody's already talking about it. I mean just ask yourself why the hell is Pavlik fighting BHop anyway!!
