This fight is far off, and who knows if it'll even get made. Calzaghe has to get by Hopkins, and Pavilk has to get by Lockett.

As of right now, who do you see winning between these two, at 168, if the fight is made?

    VOTE! :yep

holy ****,cant believe this is so even at the minute,on a technical aspect pavlik doesnt come close to joe,and with joe's chin and movement is pavlik really strong enough or fast enough to deal with joe,i really doubt it!

I feel it would be a great fight, Pavlik is the bigger, stronger fighter with alot more punching power, while Calzaghe is the faster, more skillful, ring general. I think it would be a great matchup, it's a 50/50 for me.

That's what I'm curious about. I see Boobradley slamming anyone who believes Calzaghe would win, so I thought an official poll was in store. :yep

I dont see how, Pavlik is what 6'1 and a half, 6'2? Who has already made mention of how hard it is to drop weight, the guys a natural Light Heavyweight, I dont care what anyone says. I feel Pavlik, like Hearns, stays at a lower weight so his power is more devastating to his oppenents, but you will see him gradually move up as he continues to run through everyone at Middleweight and SM, in another 4 or 5 years he will stay at Light Heavyweight for the duration of his career, similar to other great fighters before him.

pipewrenched you know i like pavlik, but do you really see him winning this fight outside of that big punchers chance?he does nothing better than calzaghe apart from his power!

This is the fight I would pay to see. Both excellent and exciting fighters. The exact opposite of Hopkins vs Cal. Because of Hopkins style, that fight will not be an exciting one to watch. Pav vs. Cal, look for some fireworks, these guys are both warriors and talented.
