That is a contradiction. Pavlik is taller than Joe is he not? And you even say he is bigger and stronger, so how is he picking on the smaller man?
Pavlik knocks Joe the **** out.....you people are truly deranged to think that Joe does everything better than Pavlik....Pavlik has the better jab, more power, throws straighter punches and is equally active.....the first time Joe decides to be brave and come in throwing weak, wide hooks(which appears to be his only form of offense)he will be punished and eventually dropped and added to the list of fighters that came into their fight never being knocked out. and beating an old man is hardly preperation for the punishment Pavlik would bring....
Joe did call Pavlik out BEFORE the Bhop fight was made, and BEFORE JT exercised his rematch clause, but then BEFORE any other fights were made, Slappy joined the Wheel Chair Boxing Association, and picked a fight with BHop. Joe Calzaghe simply does not fight top fighters near their prime. And PLEASE don't try to tell me the Robo-Dane is an elite fighter! Boo
He'd outpoint Pavlik, not without difficulty though. Pavlik is underrated by some on this forum. As would a prime Calzaghe. I think KP will be looking very closely at the JC/Hopkins fight to see how far Joe's declined. If you combine advancing years and moving back down in weight then I certainly wouldn't write off Pavliks chances. He's not as talented as Joe or Pavlik though. No matter how much you want him to be.
calzaghe to much movement and can easily outpoint pavlik from range and inside, sorry Ghost iam a fan of yours but stay away from calzaghe and fight winky and make some money.
If Joe is less than impressive against Bhop then Pavlik may have a chance. At 168 only though, not 175. KP needs to grab every advantage to stand a chance. However Joe being unimpressive against Hopkins may be down to the old ******* rather than a Calzaghe decline.
I think that would be the only way Pavlik would take that fight anyhow. Every press conference they talk about how long it is 'safe' to stay at 160. Fighting Joe at 168 would be a chance for him to move up and still have belts.
I'll go along with Big George Foreman on this one. A good boxer will always beat a good puncher. Calzaghe by U.D. with Pavlik putting on a brave performance as usual.
Always? Isn't that why they get in the ring? To decide who is better at what? Joe has 32 KO's and is treated as if he has no power. Kelly is middle weight champ and is treated as if he has no boxing skills. I think the term 'one dimensional' applies more to posters 'ability to be objective' than to the fighters. :deal
Amsterdamn, Amsterdamn, Amsterdamn......I knew you'd put in your worthless 2 cents. You think anyone and everyone can beat Pavlik. Let me ask you 3 questions: 1. Who did you pick between Pavlik - Miranda? 2. Who did you pick between Pavlik - Taylor (1)? 3. Who did you pick between Pavlik - Taylor (2)? Your 0 - 3, shut up!
