While I whole heartedly agree with you on the fact that Amsterdam thinks KP gets KO'd by everyone in the world, that list does NOT include JT. That is the one fighter in the world Amsterdam appears to hate worse, as he did infact pick Pavlik to win both times.

I got to admit I was fooled the first time too.:deal I thought wow, man!, how cool Amsterdam likes Pavlik too. But later turned out his whole point was to further trash JT by saying he got KO'd by a trash ass bum in KP! LOL! Fooled me once though, I'll give him that.

I truly don't think he hates Pavlik. He just has a very soft spot for the SMW divison. :yep

Do you think it was "love" that prompted him to start the Pavlik vs. James Toney @ 160 thread, that could have only had one outcome on the poll??

i think your the deranged one mate.pavlik has less tools than kessler,it would be a much easier nights work for calzaghe.pavlik is a tough kid who you have to pin to the floor to stop but his defence is terrible.i honestly couldn't see him going much further than half way against calzaghe,he would be busted up.

This thread is an example of deja vu. It looks EXACLTY like 200 or more threads that we had prior to Pavlik/Taylor I, and we all know how that turned out. God Damn it's fun to be a Pavlik fan!

If this fight were to be made late this year or early next year, I would go with Calzaghe. I just think that Calzaghe would be able to outbox him and use his speed to frustrate Pavlik ultimately winning a UD, although I wouldn't be shocked if Pavlik was able to land a couple of good, hard shots on Calzaghe because Calzaghe can be hit.

You mean like all the great tools Kessler used when he froze the **** up because he had no clue how to fight a southpaw. Or are you talking about all the great tools his corner had for him when they said brilliant **** like "safety first," and "you've got to hit him more." Exactly which great tools was it that left Kessler standing there humiliated saying "he ruined my boxing?" **** that! Pavlik, Cotto, Gamboa, Quintana, and a few others are the future of boxing. The Robo Dane is the future of Friday Night fights.

That's the thing bro, he was awesome in round 4 and he may have edged out round 2. But that's it!! Tell me what else he may have done at all besides maybe starting to pull the trigger a little in the 12th, after he finally realized that just maybe Calz had been kickin his ass all night long??

Pavlik has an underrated jab, that's for sure. He was out-jabbing JT in both fights. Pavlik's jab, combined with his natural size, and longer reach, would make for a very interesting fight to say the least.

If and when this fight happens, I see Calzaghe using his movement, and outfighting Pavlik on the inside. Whilst Pavlik's jab is stiff and straight, I don't think he would be able to keep Calzaghe at bay with it. Calzaghe wouldn't be dumb enough to back up in a straight line, where he could get caught with Pavlik's 1-2, but rather circle, using unorthadox head and body movement to make his way to the inside -- I believe there is where Calzaghe would win the fight. You would see Calzaghe befuddle Pavlik with in and out side to side movement. With Pavlik's arm length, I believe Calzaghe would take the fight on the inside, outpunching, and outlanding Pavlik via either UD or late round TKO.
