Calzaghe vs Reid full fight

That's back when Calzaghe was dominating the best in his hometown.

 

Fantastic fight, where Calzaghe was defending away to Reid. Calzaghe hurts his hand in round 4 and still wins.

SImperial has a bit of a thing for Calzaghe, still Ask yourself this. How could you not score rounds 2, 3, 4,7, 8 (Reid also had a point deduction in that round), 12 to Calzaghe? Remember Reid had a point deducted also.

I thought like 2 judges that Calzaghe was a clear winner and except for McCrory who scored a draw and later seemed to agree all of the other studio guest scored wide for Calzaghe including Mcguigan and Eubank. I also think damaged handed (damaged his hand in round 4) Calzaghe won and felt he won rounds 1, 9 (Reid did land the punch of the night in round 9 though) & 11.

Please post Calzaghe vs Sobot, Manfredo Jr., Veit, Mitchell, Mkrtychan, Brewerm, Mclntyre, Starie, Thornberry and last but not least Pudwill so the fans can really see some masterful performances against first class bums.

 

Didn't know Reid was from Newcastle?

Close fight most neutral fans would have gave it to Joe.

 

Reid "The Grim Ripper" was a good fighter in the post-Eubank/Benn/Collins/Watson era and even though he was smashed by Lacy later on and stopped by Froch much later. There was a time people believe he actually beat Otke... However, my point is this: People say that Hopkins was a dirty fighter and he wasn't Calzaghe's most difficult opponent but look at Reid who was said to have won a fight against Joe... The guy held Joe's leg at some point, not to mention countless rabbit punches and punches on the break.

Also didn't Calzaghe fight some guy for the british title in London?


Just saying Joe didn't just fight in Wales the whole time.

Reid was the Englishman in England against the Welshman. Reid wasnt from Newcastle, he was based about 2 half hrs drive away

There were several attempts to sabotage Joe before this fight. He was given ice cream at his hotel that had glass in it. Serious.
