roy jones by late ko or a wide ud. he was one of the most talented boxers ever and in his prime made almost anyone look foolish.
Nobody beats Roy Jones in his prime! (except of course God ,also known as Manny Pacquiao, who according to those on this forum could beat King Kong, Superman and most forms of cancer on the same night with one hand)
Jones would have very little chance of beating Calzaghe. Jones would have a speed advatage, but he had a speed advantage when he fought Johnson and Tarver. Tomorrow I will post a thread practically proving Calzaghe would beat him prime for prime.
Jones to win a UD in what would be one of the most boring fights either man was ever involved in. Although i'd give nearly anything to see it!!!
This Calzaghe fans are trying to compare an all time great against someone has never beating anybody worth mentioning... worthless match
Oh! Like he did to James Toney, and Bernard Hopkins, and others? If you don't think Joe is in the same league as the above fighters you need to wake up and smell what you shovelling. As if your own eyes weren't providing evidence enough, we got Ray Leonard, Marvin Hagler and Floyd Mayweather saying words to the effect of Joe's one of the best they ever seen. Suppose they know **** and Roy knocks his ass out though eh, Juuust like he did with Nard & James. :good
He may very well be in that league. However, those two fighters won a combined 5-6 rounds out of 24 against Jones. Calzaghe would win 3-4 himself, much like Hopkins, but no more. I doubt he would be stopped, but he is at a disadvantage against Jones.
Really not sure about Jones v Calzaghe, sitting on the fence, tough to call for me, still collating. Jones v Benn I'd like to see, I give Benn a punchers chance 10%
