Saad would win. Not sure Calzaghe would do any better than southpaw Marvin Johnson, as he didn't have the dig to dissuade Saad. Saad's jab would be too potent for JC as well.

Conteh would beat Calzaghe handily IMO.

twelve rounds instead of fifteen would be in calzaghe's favour but i still cant see him winning

    One-handed Conteh would beat Cal.:yep

    Two-handed Conteh destroys him.

    Bad match-up for Cal though.

    He was a good/very good super-middleweight fighter.
Conteh was an excellent light heavyweight/cruserweight.

They say Newbridge is the Pittsburgh of the british empire... Bodes ill for both Muhammad and Loughran.

Funnily enough Wales has the most incredible P4P rankings in a pretty small area all things considered. Britain's greatest boxing territory no doubt, scary.

You wouldn't believe how many times that thread has come up on the British forum. Almost a meme over there, me barging in whenever it cones up and inevitably loads of punks are saying 'Joe would win' :fire

I would be pretty comfortable with Joe in a 15 round era. Great engine and not a big weight cutter.

Sometimes you get that. Is it a center for hard industrial work, i.e. coal mining, steel smelting, etc.? Because, no joke Pennsylvania is not a big state but had produced indisputably, the greatest athletes in American history (not just boxers) and that's part of it.
