For some reason I think your viewing this as Delahoya Hopkins type of match

SRR was 5'11 with 72 inch reach while Joe was 5'11 73 inch reach ..And he basically fought also fought at lt heavy so not sure where you get that physically Joe would be that much bigger ..Based on boxing IQ ,Power ,Conditioning and Chin ,Robinson by mid rd stoppage !

Pretty sure Joe wouldn't stop Robinson. Didn't hit hard enough.
Pretty sure Robinson wouldn't stop Joe. Their primes were two divisions apart.

If Joe wins, it would be purely by imposing his size advantage on Robinson. Thing is, I dont think Joe really fights that way. He's not a mauling, pushing, shoving, clinching kind of fighter. He's a finesse, volume puncher. That may actually work against him when fighting a master boxer like Robinson because he would be playing into what Robinson does best - working the open space to outmaneuver Joe.

I'm pretty sure Joe has the ability and physical attributes to beat SRR, but I'm not sure he has the gameplan.

No, I see this as one of the greatest small men of all time, beating a great bigger man.

Yes Robinson fought at LHW, that was with the weigh in the same day of the fight, how much do you think Robinson would of weighed compared to Maxim if they'd of had a day to re-hydrate?

Robinson would be smaller than Calzaghe, I'm pretty sure Joe was closer to 6 foot. if not a shade above, he was taller than Hopkins was. Joe's natrual mass would obviously be greater, as mentioned by other posters here, Joe was a very big SMW, Robinson a small MW.

Boxing IQ would be closer battle than you think.

Power, I'll concede that Robinson may still hit harder, even at the higher weight, but Calzaghe would hit him hard enough to gain respect.

Conditioning, Joe was a freak athlete; I'd argue he was better conditioned than Ray.

Chin, Joe's getting hit by a much lighter man, mid round stoppage is ridiculous.

Again, I'd pick SRR to win 9 rounds to 6.

Edit : Robinson was 157 against Maxim, Calzaghe would enter the ring at about 182lbs. 25lbs bigger as I've previously said.

ohh is that the shot eubank who came out of retirement and weight drained himself on short noticed (2 weeks) to take the calz fight?

the same one who was mentally destroyed after the watson fight?
