ward 1 wasnt a win, s your question is flawed.

Ask a real question, word it right and I will answer it. The longer you delay asking the real question, the longer you are trying to run in whooping gibbering fear from me.

Dissected, broken down so even a fool could understand..My only problem is how your not a fan of JC OB ;)..I watched him enter the pro game a boxer puncher and down to his terrible hand injuries develop another style to compensate(some say slapping). One of the most versatile fighter's I've ever seen

If you have no problem, why a couple of dozen pages telling me I'm wrong? And I think you are seriously misinterpreting my Joe/Gatti comment.

To oversimplify my position: 168 has never been a talent rich division. But Andre actually faced the best the division had to offer then moved up in weight to face what was considered a huge challenge. He achieved consensus #1 pound for pound rankings. I can't say that about Joe.

The two will always be linked. Joe is not a footnote to Andre, but a footnote in boxing history. The 90s/early 200s can easily be told without mentioning Joe. It would be a lot more difficult to bypass Andre when discussing the last decade.

Honestly, I'd like to read your list of Joe's run that is equal or greater to Andre's. You obviously know Joe's resume well.

Don't get me wrong I never missed his fights, i went to Sheffield for the Woodhall fight but he wasn't one of my "favourites" if that makes sense.

He is a legend of the sport, the best ever at 168 imo, I just hate it when people twist or say "facts" that have not been truly thought about and it's stuff that casuals say.

I have no problem with people not being fans, but I think the mods really need to reign a certain POS in who spends all day on here trolling and adding nothing at all to the forum....and I think we know which **** I'm on about.

hes not put it u for 4 pages now, instead decided on personal flaming.

One would think hes using distraction to avoid putting up his list of calzaghes great run until people here have forgotten he was asked to do so. Very poor show, pal, be nice.

Calzaghe had a longer reign and number of defences.....you should now this.

Who exactly out of the super 6 run bar Kessler and Froch was top tier?

I've told you that Calzaghe beat 11 current/former or future world champions...go do your own research.

If you feel I overstated my position, fine. Let it go.

Joe had a long run of defenses due to the level of his opposition. Beating a shell of RJJ or Eubank, or taking a fight from a guy who had a minor belt doesn't impress me much. Beating a prime version of a decent fighter, IMO, is better.

I think we should agree to disagree and move on.

the first or second bout? That level of challenge clearly needed to be tackled twice ha ha.

    good question.
there must be dudes on this forum who could beat mario veit. but joe wanted him badly twice for a "world" title fight.

n all hnesty my best guess for joes best SMW run would have to end with kessler, that bolsters any run significantly.
That measn hes gotta decide where the cutoff for the other end of the run is. Lacy has to be the best bet, even though he was one of the worst titlists we've had recently.

    Lacy-Bika-Manfredo-Kessler

Adding anything outsdie that cuts down the quality of the run significantly - Evan Ashira, Mario Vet and Myger unknown nobody would dilute the run by more than half as an argument.

So for that four fight sequence Lacy to Kess, thats actually fairly good, but not even close to any 4 fight sequence during ANY of Wards SMW title sequence. It makes no difference that joe had more fights, because adding those other fights dilutes his run and weakens Odins argument.

You won thh argument hands down.

He did he beat Kessler....who was prime and undefeated....and who also happens to be Wards best win at 168.

Also are you going to finally address how Wards 175 run was so epic?
