Don't know that Calzaghe can make a successful return to the ring, a few years ago Calzaghe had it all, and most of all the adaptability that very few fighters possess.
If Ward fought Calzaghe and Wlad fought Haye in the same week all of British boxing would collapse. Half of the posters on ESB would disappear immediately, to never be heard from again.
Ali was down against Sonny Banks and Henry Cooper, whats your point? Do you think these guys are born superstars, and have clean roads to the title? This is boxing, and in boxing you trade punches, and it just so happens every now and then these guys get caught with something big and goes down for the count, or get called for kds when they shouldnt be. Only ****s like you will ever use it against them, after they've proven themselves as top tier level fighters.
You obviously don't realize why he mentioned him and it was because Calzaghe was deducted a point for headbutting in that fight, so Calzaghe is guilty of the same thing Ward was, but we can all agree with or without the headbutts Calzaghe wins that fight anyway just like Ward beats Kessler without the headbutts also.
You never even been in a boxing gym in your life, yet you sit on here trashing legitimate world champions. Yeah, you're some beast aren't ya?
He just smoked your ass. The more you talk, the less anybody with brain matter takes you seriously. I'm bored and need someone to verbally abuse (it's my specialty). Are you bored too? You in the mood for a few hurt feelings?
Calzaghe doesnt get enough credit from many Americans but Ward is getting insanely disrespected in this thread. We literally have no idea what Joe has left. He is goin to be about 2 years removed from his last match when he comes back not to mention closing in on 39 years of age. He moved up to LHW for bigger fights but also because 168 was getting tougher to make. Im pretty sure the hypothetical fight would be at 168 which puts Joe at another disadvantage. One of Joe's 2 best wins was Kessler and Ward whupped him much worse than Cal did. I would say Ward is too skilled for an old Joe but a prime Joe does him in pretty good at this point. However, I would maybe change to Joe if he got a warm up fight that he looked good in.
So the man won a gold medal, is an undefeated professional, has a slice of the Super Middleweight World Championship, yet he's a bum because he got knocked down in his sixth fight? So my question is who won that fight, because at the end of the day is that not all that matters? Furthermore does it make Pacman a bum since he was dropped and knocked out early in his career?
