Awsome fight for Calzaghe, Warren did call it a "stay busy" fight but said winky was still one of the most dangerous opponents tho on sports radio south wales, while they wait for Bernard Hopkins to be ready in July.

The fight will be at 168lbs and details to be worked out include venue and wether the fight will be held in the Uk or the states but they said they would like to have it in the Uk.

I think its a great fight which then sets up the winner to fight Hopkins/Pavlik/Taylor later in the year.

    What do you think ?

    Source?

what a brilliant move for Joe C, as long as he doesn't take the fight lightly.

Wright has no business being in the ring against JC at this point. Come on, that is 2 weight classes above Winky's natural weight class.

:think Just like the B-Hop fight then huh.

Yet people are saying what a great win it was for Bernard.

    Double standards.

I think that you and many others blasted Hopkins for winning this fight, yet again (biasedly) its perfectly fine for Joe to do it.

If it does happen, another safe choice for JC. Slap, slap vs Peek-a-Boo will make for an extremely entertaining night of boxing.:tired

Pavlik KO's either one. Now's thats EXCITING!

Winky will prove to be a much more formidable foe than any Calzaghe has ever faced. Don't count him out.

I'm not so sure about that.

I never said it was a great win for bernard. All i'm saying is that Calzaghe should be looking for a better oponent than winky. Maybe move up to 175 and fight Dawson. Then again, I guess he wants an easy fight after fighting Kessler.

There was a small article on *********** about it, but it doesnt go into that much detail. Calzaghe just says Hopkins won't be ready till mid-year, and he'd like a stay busy fight against somebody like Wright.

No, it wasn't right for Hopkins to beat an overweight Winky. And it wouldn't be right for Joe to do it either. Hopefully this is just rumor.

    source?
and no this isnt a great fightn for Calzaghe IMO.
Winky at most is a 160 pounder. 168 is 2 heavy for him.
