Leedslad, Calzaghe is missing one belt on your picture...I guess that is why he wants to fight boring Wright or boring Hopkins...

Easy option for Calzaghe. Just because he's faced two high calibre opponents in his long, long career doesnt give him the right to start cherry picking again. 'stay busy fight'. Pffft. What the **** is that? Stay busy by fighting someone interesting!!

I know. This sums up all that makes me despair for boxing. This obsession with fighting the famous 'name' instead of the younger form guys of the moment.
Woods, Dawson even Pavlik, are all better fights than Winky.

Right, because Tito and Calzaghe are similar fighters

I have plenty of respect for Winky , but I really do think that the only way to justify this fight is by calling it a stay busy fight for Calzaghe. Winky has been 1 of the best fighters of the era and is something special to watch at his best. But he hasnt won anything for a while and nothing after he moved from light-middle (where he is one of the greats and he should really stay there) , I thought he lost to Taylor aswell.

Calzaghe is bigger and better , he is one of the greatest fighters of all-time , he is so good that it is hard to describe , people may doubt the opposition or whatever but they will be proven wrong time and again.

I hope everybody that gives Calzaghe **** about this fight hasn't posted about what a great win it was for Hopkins over Wright.

How that proved Hopkins was still a top P4P fighter, and Wright was a threat blah blah blah.

Me, I thought fighting Wright at light heavy meant **** all. (was it light heavy despite the catchweight? yes it was. The ring belt was on offer wasn't it? People are using it to claim Hopkins is THE MAN at LHW.)

I think super middle for Winky changes it from ****ing ridiculous, to ridiculous.

Still, Calzaghe may be proving a point. Chasing down Hopkins to show who's better, and giving Hopkins no option but to fight Joe or retire.

There are worse fights out there. Strangely, it will probably boost Joe in our American friends eyes. Or it should, the way they were laying out plaudits for Winky both before and after the Hopkins fight.

It was a pointless fight for Hopkins and an even more pointless fight for Joe as I suspect he's got a bit more in the tank at the moment than Hopkins did.

Joe will be the favorite, but Winky is no pushover. People that say Winky doesn't throw enough punches is full of ****. Winky has thrown over 1000 in a fight before, but he better get down to about 164, 170 is too much weight for him.

Calzaghe by UD but Winky has some balls. He has fought the best competation maybe of this generation.

Not a good fight for Joe, any more than it was for Bernard.

He should fight Dawson or the Pavlik/Taylor winner.

Winky gets a load of $$$$ since Oscar seems unlikely and probably gets stopped for the first time.

I agree, a win over Wright especially after coming off his loss to Hopkins does nothing for Calzaghe.

Where has this come from? I saw Calzaghe on TV Sunday and he was asked if he wanted the BHop fight to happen. He just looked at the TV presenter and said "It will happen, it will happen".

Edit: I see it's apparently come from the radio. I'm not buying it until I see some quotes confirming the fight though.

I think Winky need to go back to 160.
