That nearly happened to me for Hatton-Mayweather, booked the MGM in Vegas early to get a good price and then they started talking about putting the fight on at the Staples Centre in LA. I **** myself for a couple of weeks but it all panned out OK in the end.
Hatton and JC must use different travel agents, one wants to fight in Vegas and not NYC because its cheaper and the other wants to fight in NYC for the same reason.
In truth, both are about the same price. One thing's for sure, there wouldn't be all this confusion if Frank Warren was in control. I miss him.
Calzaghe: "I can see no more fitting way to end my career than to go in with a great champion. " ********************************************************* It looks like poor old Archie Moore is going to get dug up to give Calzaghe a stiff test.....Calzaghe TKO 10
One of them is bullshitting. I'd say it's Calzaghe after reading the info that travel agent posted on here the other day.
TBH I don't buy that JC has "always wanted to fight at MSG", he's never stuck me as a fighter who was particulary interested in the heritage of the sport.
Neither is right. You can make the accommodation as cheap or as expensive as you want but hotels are generally more expensive in New York but flights are generally cheaper. Logistically, New York is a hell of a lot easier in terms of number of direct flights etc.
