Joe has not forgotten his name, he is just staying quiet while Lockett is training to fight him.

They are from the same gym and Joe is probably telling Gary everyday that he can beat Pavlik.

How about you check out who Pavlik is fighting next, what gym he fights out of, and see if you can work out why Calzaghe hasn't been talking about a fight with Pavlik recently?

After the Lockett fight Joe will never mention Pavlik again. Bank on it.

    Pavlik KOs Calzaghe no doubt.

Calzaghe doesn't have the strength or power to keep Kelly off him.

Pavlik is better....MUCH better then Lacy, don't even compare the two. He is better then Kessler too.

Based on the idea that syles make fights I think Kessler is actually the more difficult opponent. Pavlik would score a highlight reel KO against slappy joe. Kessler would take Pav the full 12.

Someone with a hometown connection seems to think that it will be Pavlik/Calzaghe in November. Said so in another thread. Almost as if it is a done deal pending Pavlik/Lockett. Cal can't say much as long as his stable mate is the next Pav opponent. Would look like he is saying he knows he would be defeated. And the fight only happens between the 0's. so......... we may see after pav/lockett.

No doubt man, Joey can't punch nearly as well as Jermaine ... Joe is much closer to a chick-quality puncher than a physical athlete like Taylor

In that case...that's news to me. I think Pavlik is making a mistake rushing up to 168 lbs to fight Calzaghe. He's not experienced enough and he will be much smaller on the night (we've had this discussion before).

Normally people of Pavlik's style are as good as they ever are going to get at this point, he has no room for improvements as he does nothing technically wrong, he just lacks top ability, going back to the point.

The only way he'd be on even terms is if Joe is completely shot.

Same thign with Taylor, after he got the decisions over Hopkins, everyone expected vast improvements, but it was the same old **** every fight, the guy wont improve, he is as good as he will get.

Same goes for Abraham, Kessler and anybody set where they are.

Hell, same goes for Dawson, what you have is what you have.

Rumour has it that this is true - as is Kess-RJJ.

However a fight being 'in the pipeline' and seeing 2 fighters in the ring on any given night are worlds apart.

We can do nothing but wait !!
