No, he's just telling it how it is because there's always 2 sides of the story and the truth. You just don't wanna hear it cause the judges gave Joe the win.

If you don't think it's bias find a new sport, the video maker cry's when the crowd cheers for Joe ffs which is the most ******ed excuse in the world.

It all depends how you score a fight. I will score clean punches landed over a high volume of punches that dont land every time. I dont understand how any judge could give any of the 1st 7 rounds to calzaghie when i can count on 2 hands how many clean punches landed.
All you have to do is listen inbetween rounds and see how frustrated calzaghie was all night. He and his dad knew he lost that fight.

Kind of shocked that someone can find something to cheer about with respects to Hopkins. In the fight with Calzaghe.

It might say as much about the styles Joe fought throughout his reign rather than how good Hopkins was on the night. Think about it, who else, besides Hopkins, had any wrinkles to their game?

Eubank was a good fighter, but he had his limitations technically, I dont think you would ever confuse Brewer, Mitchell with being refined Boxers either.

A Reggie Johnson-Calzaghe fight would of been interesting imo.

Explain how 'luck' stopped him from going down all those other times?

Hopkins clearly won the fight, not by a wide margin but at least a 7-5 margine or 115-113

It's all good though since B-Hop is higher in the ATG status and accomplishments when it is all said and done

Literally every single aspect of his game was clearly more impressive in the performance against Tito than against Calzaghe. The footwork was better, the counters were smoother, the jab was much better, the short, quick combinations as opposed to one or two shots here and there, etc. There's an arguement for Hopkins' best win, but Tito is quite clearly his finest all-around performance.

Tito is far inferior opponent than Calzaghe. I know Hopkins was better in the Tito fight but Calzaghe being the superior fighter also has something to do with it.

Tito's a better fighter imo, though the 160lbs version probably wasnt as good as Calzaghe. He damn sure isnt far inferior if he's inferior at all. Trinidad is proven more effective against better fighters and a greater range of styles.

Regardless, you just have to watch Hopkins in both fights, and you can see a marked difference. Even in the first 3 rounds where he clearly is getting the better of Calzaghe and controlling the fight, he doesnt look nearly as impressive as he did against Trinidad. Again, every aspect of that performance was better, technically speaking (and of course physically as well). He did everything better then.

It's amazing how Calzaghe went undefeated in his career, when he is 0-50 in hypothetical fights. It must have been due to fighting "bums" like Hopkins, right?

Anyway, Hopkins lost this fight, but I agree that it was about as good as he ever got technically. His earlier fights are more impressive athletically, though. I think the Pavlik performance summed up all that is great about Hopkins: superior technical ability, strength, stamina and the greatest ring general of his generation (and the next generation).

He had a consistant, dominate jab against Trinidad - it was virtually none-existant from the opening bell against Calzaghe.

He turned Tito every which way and showed fantastic lateral movement, never lunging in with punches at all - he lunged in all the time against Calzaghe.

He threw in 3, 4, even 5 punch combinations against Tito, every punch short, and crisp - he tended to throw one or maybe two punches a time against Calzaghe unless they were just flurrying against each other.

The in-fighting against Trinidad was brilliant work. blocking or catching almost all of Tito's punches on his gloves/arms or slipping shots while landing clean, effective punches to the head and body - he usually just clinched and tied Calzaghe up when they'd even begin to work on the inside.

He looked flawless from a technical perspective against Trinidad. It was a special performance. That's not the case against Calzaghe.

I had Hopkins 115-113....would but Hopkins has never won a close fight...so no suprise...

Calzgahe looked **** which was expected...remember this was Calzaghes 1st and only fight against a P4P fighter
