Calzaghe was the best of a poor generation of Supermiddles....not his fault.

Good for you.....good for you!!!!

Why would Joe Calzaghe want your sympathy anyway????

He unified his division against a KO artist infront of 50,000 people

If your American fighers are so good, and so legendary why dont you go to support them and try filling a venue for once!!

I personally think the haters hate Calzaghe more than his fans like him.....

I am not jaded or cynical. I will even give long responses to newbies who ask a question I think I have the answer to. But when someone's first post on ESB is a hate-post...they are most likely an alias or they are up to no good...so...might as well put them on ignore.

When I came on ESB, I knew nothing at all about boxing. My first 300 or so posts were all polite questions.:deal

Also, don't I talk boxing all the time?:think

You know you bring up a good point. I will single handedly fill up a venue. I will walk into an empty arena where there is a boxing match going on and sit in every singe seat all at the same time. Joe Calzaghe is overrated and has a horrible resume, period.

When did Roy last knock out a true unbeaten world champion in the first round??? Cos your prediction is crazy....it took him 6 rounds to get Clinton Woods TKO'd years ago

And why is Calzaghe a *****??? Has he offended you in anyway??? Hate his obesessed fans but not the fighter!!!

If Hopkins knocks out Calzaghe I will be impressed but in reality this should be a 12 rounder

as i posted in another thread GARY SHAW in the johnson vs dawson press conference:

QUESTION: What are your thoughts on Calzaghe-Hopkins?

JOHNSON: It's a difficult fight. I really think Bernard is a defensive whiz, and Joey throws a lot of punches from every different angle. I think Joe might win the fight, but I don't think he's going to be able to land a lot of punches. He'll probably just win off just the fact that he throws a lot of punches.
Bernard is very skillful defensively. He doesn’t have as much offense as he used to have in his prime, but he still has his defensive skills.

SHAW: I'd like to throw a shot at that question. I love Bernard Hopkins on a personal level. I think he's great, and I'm a huge fan of Bernard's. But in the fight game, I have all the respect in the world for Joe Calzaghe. I watched him at ringside destroy Jeff Lacey. Go through Miguel Kessler. I think in the underrated department, that Joe Calzaghe should be rated number one.

sorry to drag the tone down and as it happens i'm a fan of Calzaghe even though he has been quite protected up untill the last year or so, but really the only reason i'm posting on here is because on the sidebar of the main page it says "Chalzaghe was the best of a poo..." :)

Definitely Not Joe's Fault ... He's The Best Supermiddle Of All-time ... Due To His Long Gevity And Undefeated Record.

He Can Box (when He Wants To) And He's Very Fast ... His Hand Speed Is Compare-able To Dlh (prime) Ssm (prime) And Rjj (prime)

No Matter If He Loses Against Hopkins ... He's Still The Champ At 168 And Probably Will Not Lose At That Weight Class -- Ever!!
