How does that relate to what you previously said?

Nobody is saying that he wasn’t a great fighter. I’m just telling you why he went under the radar until he’d beaten Lacy.

Looked far from perfection against Reid, Starie and Salem, and hardly ever fought due to pulling out of fights late with a bad hand/hangover.

He was a terrific brawler it seemed on the few occasions we'd see him. But a very odd career.

Who in the history of boxing has looked perfect everytime out and hasn't struggled. Nobody is the answer to that question.

    Record is perfect though.

He'd of lost if he kept fighting just as everyone does. He already did lose v Reid by a couple of points at least.

And yes, Griffin put a SCHOOLING on Jones Jr in 97, watch the fight. Griffin won fair and square.

Winning by DQ isn't ''fair and square''.

Watching Reid looking so awful against a 40 year old Malinga, and then bash up Calzaghe, does make you wonder if Joe in his physical prime was in the league of Nigel Benn, Eubank Sr and Jones Jr when they were 25. I'm sure he was, though.

There's nothing more fair and square if someone has to deliberately foul you.

Clear BS. The Griffin lose was a fluke and Roy proved it by stopping Griffin in the rematch.

BS. Griffin was cheated on the rematch by being forced to go out cold, and didn't have master tactician Eddie Futch for the return.

No fluke, Griffin was winning the rounds and outboxing him clearly. How's that a fluke? It is what it is, you can't pretend it didn't happen. Griffin was a very average, limited fighter. He just had the greatest tactician in history in his corner for that first fight.

Jones was at his absolute peak in his first Griffin bout

Limited fighter? What kind of crack are you smoking? Griffin gave a prime Roy Jones a tough fight and has two wins over James Toney.

Toney was disinterested. Eddie Futch maximized what he had with Griffin

The definition of a ‘schooling’ would be Joe-Lacy or Toney-Barkley.

Haven’t you had your meds yet?

Griffin caused Roy issues, but Roy had turned the fight around and was on the verge of knocking him out.

On what planet is causing a guy issues schooling someone?

How on earth have you got the nerve to question another posters mindset like you have on the Roy Jones thread?
