Because noone in the UK has ever heard of a boxer called "Dawson" and therefore noone will pay money to see him?

I hope you're right about Calzaghe/Taylor. It would be good to see Joe continue.

 

As a supreme Calzaghe hater...Dawson would kick his ass in my opinion but its not like he has to fight him to prove otherwise. Calzaghe would have to get the benefit of the doubt b/c Dawson is the young gun wanting a shot. Calzaghe is old as well and we cant be hypocrites and expect him to fight every young gun(that would kick his ass). He beat Kessler(though overrated to ****) and Lacy. He has two young guns(one with only one bullet) under his belt. No need in risking it this late. As long as he does not come back for RJJ 2 or Manfredo 2 he is going to be aight.

If GJ beat him as many say, Calzaghe would ****ing crush him and then as per usual get no props on here.
Calzaghe is still fast, still has the stamina, still has the heart and can still take a punch.
Add to that insane angles and exemplary footwork it would be another win for Joe.
