    :rofl:rofl:patsch

Because JC had a glass chin... not to mention he had great boxing skills when he fought behind his shoulder- people always point at the wide brawler when Cal was bored, but he would outbox Kovalov

As soon as Kessler stunned him, he hardly hit him again until the last round

along with Hopkins, thats why JC vs Hopkins would have always ended up the same way, JC winning a close decision in a ugly fight, both spoiled each other and one had the superior workrate to steal rounds

According to bailey and the rest of the like-minded ******s (and all their alts) Cleverly/Kovalev was going to be a re-run of Calzaghe/Lacy:rofl

These people simply don't understand what it is they are looking at when they watch boxing, can't really blame them though I suppose, they are mentally subnormal, low IQ, fanboys who get their boxing knowledge from places like The Sun tabloid rag.

These same people genuinely think Calzaghe would have beaten prime Roy Jones, says it all really.

KDs happen, but Calzaghe wasnt on wobbly legs, didnt have to hold to survive and was the fighter on the attack. Hopkins got put down twice by Mercado, Jones by Del Valle and they were on wobbly legs and needing to hold.
Do you not think Jones massive uppercut was a bigger punch at the end of round 6? Or recall how Calzaghe had his hands down and joked about the punches of both Hopkins and Jones. Forgot that :patsch
You wouldnt call Hopkins chinny, but he also went down to Pascal twice and could have had a 3rd KD called and was put down by Jones in the rematch, yet some pick him to beat Kovalev.
You forget also that Calzaghe was at the very end of a long career yet dominated world class comp.

anything to say about Cleverly yet, Bailoss? its been a while since you were proclaiming him the 2nd coming.

you get stuck if you do....you proclaim Clev is great, which means KO4Clev must be greater, thereby making it harder for you to justify Joe beating Sergey.

haha you are in a pickle now.

Looks like Kovalev is gaining a lot of respect from this forum
He does seem different:un-afraid and very powerful-I don't
think Ward or Adonis have ever been in the ring with someone with
    such power and prowess
Maybe he ko's Wilder-I think Wilder was knocked down by a cruiserweight
Wlad even would have to keep him at bay.

Calzaghe NEVER beat an elite opponent in his career EVER. 43 year old geezer Hopkins beat him only to get robbed. His record is a farce. People try to portray average fighters like Kessler, washed up fighters like Eubank and Roy Jones, or bums like Lacy and Bika as top level but that is also a farce.

Kovalev would murder him if he got dropped by weak punchers like Hopkins and a shot RJJ at 175.

But if Calzaghe rabbit punches as much as he did Hopkins maybe he will survive a bit longer. Also if the judges count pitter patter slaps that do nothing other than show off speed, maybe he will rob Kovalev like he robbed Hopkins

ye joe cal went in head first and managed to get away with it coz he was quite elusive and quick hands, but imagine meeting into one of kovalevs right hands, that would be decapition mate. kovalev usually has to ko fighters running or defending for their lifes, joe would be too ****y and showy and would be put too sleep. :tired

This fight would never happen. But..................!..................if it did, it would be an extremely interesting clash of styles. Calzaghe's rapid firings vs Kovalev's seek and destroy attack. It would be type of fight where we'd learn alot about both guys.
