    I've rewatched the following fights

    - Hopkins vs Taylor II
    - Hopkins vs Wright
    - Calzaghe vs Kessler
    - Tarver vs that tomato can he fought last time.

And right now there is no doubt in my mind that Calzaghe will win. I'm a huge Hopkins fan, but he is pretty much shot, which is no surprise at 43 years old.

Alot of fighters are considered shot at 33.

Clinton Woods if he trains well for his next fight will beat the **** out of Tarver.

I still think that style-wise, Hopkins has the advantage, but i think his abilities have eroded, especially his speed and reflexes.

About 80% of the rest of the world agrees with you. But be prepared to take some **** for your opinion.

i think joe's got the edge, but i expect bhop to force him into BY FAR the hardest fight of his career, and wouldn't be all too shocked if he pulls the upset, i just don't think joe's been in with anyone as talented as even a 43yo bhop

I think he's nearly shot too, and it saddens me to say that. He's declining fast and I have no doubts Calzaghe will beat him.

I'd have money on a 31 yo Eubank vs a 43 yo Hopkins.

Although this is Joes best opponent it wont be his toughest fight.

Do you really think Hops outboxed Winky, Calabrese? I didn't see it that way. I saw plenty of headbutting and holding, but barely any great boxing

Why do you say that? It's certainly not the consensus on this forum. Most of the more respected posters have Calzaghe winning(aside from Sues2nd, being as Hopkins is his favorite fighter) handily. Styles make matchups, especially when one of the fighters has declined to the level Hopkins has.

Prime for prime, it's very interesting. Right now, Calzaghe by wide UD, possibly even a late stoppage. In fact, I'm going to call it right now. I think Calzaghe will stop him. Calzaghe TKO9 Hopkins.

I think you misunderstood me? I agree with everything you wrote. All I'm saying is "be prepared to take some **** for your opinions" (from the Hopkins sack surfers).

Or did I misunderstand you? Hell knows!

No ****, this has been evident for a long time.

Calzaghe, even from me, is only going to get limited credit for the Hopkins victory, unless he absolutely destroys him and it ends in a stoppage after brutality, then it'll tell us a lot about what Hopkins V Calzaghe would be like prime to prime.

Agree. I don't think he Winky was a good match, though, being inflated up to 170. It's no surprise Winky lost.

Hopkins is not shot, but very past his prime. Prepare to see Calzaghe dominating him.

Easy Calzaghe win. Hopkins throws 300 punches a fight so dont see him winning on points. BHop has no power so no chance of Stopping Calzaghe. A faded Eubanks is better than a 43 year old BHop.

I think Joe has to be given credit whatever way he wins if he does manage it. Whatever is said about Hopkins' age he is recognised as the premier light heavyweight and is ranked above Calzaghe in the Ring magazine p4p rankings. 2 fighters fighting each from the p4p top 5 is a just a slightly viable fight!
