It would do wonders for his legacy. But I doubt he will and he'd be wise not to. Two years out the game and then come back and fight the elite #1 at 168? Risky business.

it's possible but 2 years, by the time the fight could be made, would be a long time. not sure how he'd fare after that long out of the ring, but that said, calzaghe is a very natural fighter and i don't doubt he'd soon get back in the swing of things, so it would be possible, just monumental.

he can cash in and have an excuse in case if he lose. though I doubt he will grow some balls to fight.

Kessler will win the tournament so Calzaghe will stay retired. Anyway, he will. He's not stupid enough to face young top fighters in their prime after 2 years without boxing.

By the time the tournament is over Calzaghe will be in his 40s.

Get used to watching Rjj-Calzaghe. That was the last time Calzaghe stepped inside a ring.

Not if its any of the american guys. Calzaghe is past his best already, that's pretty clear.

If Calzaghe comes back in his 40's, there is no way in hell he beats any of these guys because his boxing game is all based on attack, which implies having extraordinary stamina. You don't have extraordinary stamina in your 40's. Stay retired Joe - best advice - because your "0" will go facing one of these young lions.
