I think people need to give RJJ alot more credit than this basic dis respect all the time about him, hell if he's shot. Yes he got cought twice in a amazing career. Does this mean he is automatically shot then?? i think the guy needs more credit, and i'm a joe c fan, but i can see this being one hell of a lot closer than people are jabbaring on about on here. To say Joe has already won and that he only picked RJJ for some more $$$ is ridiculouse

Oh yeah, just before the beating Jeff Lacy promised. And Mikkel Kessler. And Bernard Hopkins. Or Bernard Hopkins is too old? Then why the f* Pavlik is running in Hopkins' arms (a guy Calzaghe has already beat), running scared from Arthur Abraham? :think

I agree that Kessler vs. Pavlik will be a better fight but if you think Joe will "breeze" through Pavlik you are crazy.

i reckon joe would beat Pavlik by UD, 4 rounds. I think he can adapt to pavliks style peice of ****, he can take one hell of a punch, for example Kesslers 2 uppercuts that would have taken the head off most boxers. Pavlik aint **** big deal he beat Miranda!! he beat 'Welterweight' champion Taylor, people forget he almost got ktfo against Taylor, not even cory spinks was close to being touched by him, then HELLO he beats Lockett, he's a superstar, yeah he's the man, Lockett was career defining man! hell i wouldnt be suprised if hopkins gives him a whooping

If Abraham didn't have his mandatory against Marquez, we wouldn't be talking about Hopkins. It would be KP vs AA.

I doubt that. Typical promotial sh*t talk from Arum would've KO'd it. 'Not enough money in it'. Yeah. For the risk of losing. That's called ducking.

In all honesty I think people here are usin the fact that Joe isnt fighting Pavlik as a tool to convince themsleves that Pavlik is great as opposed to his actual accomplishments in the ring.

I agree with you, he should certainly be fighting Pavlik, like i say though i think it will happen.
If it doesn't happen though i will be dissapointed, i think he really needs this fight to happen, beat Pavlik then he can retire happy.

No. It would have happened. Kelly wants to unify the titles in a bad way.

Yeah. But have you ever heard of step aside money? HBO was more than happy to get a big time PPV for Pavlik for October. But all Pavlik said about Abraham was 'yeah, I never back down from any challange' and 'I'll fight whomever my promoter puts in front of me'. Now did Arum contacted Team Sauerland to make the fight? Never.

Yes, they did try to make the fight. But, the "step aside" money was way too much.
