Calzaghe will not face Pavlik

This fight will happen in early 2009, it has too much going for it, the money, the interest, the hype, the fame for the win (well for Pavlik anyway). It is a fight that is building up nicely.

What I fear for though is what is everyone going to do when joe actually does retire? There seems to be a new Joe thread every five minutes.

Er, no its not only here that everyone wants the Calzaghe v Pavlik fight.

 

Reach and Power are a great combo. Pavlik might retire Hopkins so that's why you dont hear any critism.

Noukstar]Joe Calzaghe thinks he can beat anyone. He talks like he is the be all and end all of boxing these days, some sort of super champ, whether he is or not is up to his performances in the ring and the fans.

The reasons he is fighting Jones is simple - lots of money and an easy win (so he thinks) whilst still being able to say it is a "legitimate" fight (and not a farce) since he got Roy beat Tito.

Joe is picking the semi retired guys for good money right now, and why not. He been fighting stiffs for years with the odd live opponent thrown in![/quote]
