This is simply just a rediculous analysis. :huh

Kessler is not Lacy, and Kessler's footwork and balance is just outstanding. Joe's footwork is also great, but it is more related to speed.

First of all Peter, I have not and will not compare Kessler to Lacey
I was responding to Tuna's post who said:

"Are you saying that JC has more power than Kessler? If so, in your dreams!!!"

So, I simply retorted by saying that having more power than your oponent is neither here nor there if you are not getting hit.

Secondly, I don't know where this notion has come from that Kessler has any kind of outstanding footwork.
Admittedly I have only seen the standard youtube videos and HBO's coverage of him against Andrade...but nothing that I have seen of him yet shows him to have footwork that is remotely in the same league as Joe's.

Don't get me wrong Peter, I am not hating on Kessler here.
I think that he will be a big big challenge, my whole point in starting this thread was that my bold prediction is going against the grain and that Calzaghe will be stopping Kessler in 6 or 7.

I will pop in to collect my props when it happens :yep

I concur. Im picking Kessler, but I wouldnt be surprised to see Joe win a close decision. But there is now way Joe stops Kessler, I just dont see how thats gonna happen. I will be very impressed if he does though.

    I respect your opinion. :thumbsup

I hope people don't think Joe is feather fisted, those weren't feather fists opening up both of Lacy's eyes, and what appeared to be breaking his nose.

I don't think Joe has one-punch KO power, but his accumulative power is just fine.

I don't think he'll knock out Kessler, since Kessler has shown to have a good beard, although you're right, it has not been really tested.

I have no rooting interest tonight, just hoping for a great fight.
