Calzaghe would still manage to win a world title with average speed. Kessler was just as fast as shot Calzaghe in November and far more explosive.

Still a smart boxer ... he's still champion ... look at his resume ... it helped that he had speed but it didn't matter ... he's a fighter at heart and that more than anything made him what he is.

Calzaghe is all speed and that all...The day he will fight a guy like Bute, it will be the end of his career...but Big Joe wont fight Bute...he will fight the old timer Jones jr...instead...sad for boxing...

Rookie or not, Bute still is a better technical fighter than Calzaghe...

Your saying he'd rather fight old men,my point is he's one himself....He's got **** all to prove at this point in his career..the one's who support, will always support him..the one's who don't will never change there minds...so why risk his record now, that would be ****ing dumb.

My thoughts exactly. Ali too. Interesting to think though, when Ali lost his speed he changed and succeeded. Doubt Calz. would be as successfull as Ali but more so than Jones

How would Primo Carnera have been if he wasn't as tall as he was, or as big and had a better jaw?

How would George Foreman have been if he didn't have power and had all the moves of Willie Pep?

I wonder if what PBF record would be if not for his speed and endurance?
